Suppose you stand in front of a train and teleport at the exact moment that it strikes you. Not an instant before or after. Are you dead? Or did you teleport? Try to think of it in the context of shrodinger's cat.

I was just thinking your final teleport is successful, but you arrive as a corpse. Or, you arrive normally but just slowly pass out in the following 30 seconds, as if you just consumed a spiked beverage.

Its not. You can still get hurt/killed. You just have the ability to teleport, and each time you use it reduces your 35-years-remaining lifespan by a month.

You know what a great example of Superman and Batman in a somewhat combative stance is? The Superman:TAS episode, World's Finest. It's the perfect crossover.

* Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent don't like each other because Bruce hits it off with Lois.
* Superman immediately discovers Batman's identity with X-Ray vision, Batman immediately retaliates with a tracking beacon that leads him to Clark's apartment
* Superman is tricked by the Joker and nearly killed with kryptonite until Batman saves him, Batman is nearly killed by a LexCorp military drone that Superman effortlessly destroys
There's give and take. Balance. Neither one looks better or worse than the other, they're just different.

Oh man, I hear the polar opposite on TikTok. Apparently there are even top 10 lists of all the times Batman has beaten Superman. And a lot of people like to bring up this comic book called "The Bat Who Laughs" (or something similar), where it sounds like Batman takes over the whole universe or some shit.
