I'm interviewing people for our level entry position that pays 75k with benefits at a CPA firm since yesterday. So when a guy comes in this fresh out of college and graduated with a humanities degree with no experience in the accounting field while wearing really wrinkling business attires: immediately starts his "introduction" by asking for 100K with 1 months worth of PTO and full health and dental coverages for his benefits. I felt like JJ from spiderman when I asked him if he was being serious while smirking at the same time. I get it he was probably told by people to high ball it so we can negotiate down, but considering we're already getting +1000 resumes for this job position I really have no interest in wasting my time with someone like this. Especially looking at his resume alone doesn't give him enough negotiation power. I don't blame him though, I blame our recruiters for letting this guy get so far as to even get interviewed to begin with. In my 7 years of working here, this was the fastest "nope" I ever done for an interview since.

For those of you who are trying to get into a high paying career, especially for a level entry position, make sure to have negotiation powers before high balling like this. Also on your resume, make sure to list your "achievements" and not your "responsibilities". Achievement means you've done some form of leadership abilities as oppose to a person who just follows orders. You can stretch the truth, but never outright lie about anything in your resume because I've met too many clients to know when they're lying or not.
at least it cant get any worse

The topic about the guy trying to date the girl with BPD hit a little close to home for me, so wanted to make this topic with her blessing to talk about it, because it also needs some awareness.

Smith-Magenis syndrome is a very rare disorder to the point that it affects like 1 in 45k (worldwide) people. Possibly more due to going misdiagnosed or mistaking it for autism.

People might also confuse it for Down syndrome as it causes similar facial features/deformity, but the key difference is that those with SMS are missing some of chromosome 17, or had chromosome 17 mutate while those with down syndrome had a copy of their chromosomes.

People with SMS are highly affectionate - to the point where it can be mistaken as love bombing, but the reality is they might be manipulated due to impulsive behaviors/lower iq with things like money, over apologizing, and sex. Also, they are prone to anger issues, tantrums, and weight gain.

So, she's been my Long Distance GF i've met in Animal crossing for 2 years, and i've promised to visit her in the netherlands for her birthday in august. I won't pretend we didn't have our issues over that time given all i said, but that would go for all relationships. I myself deal with a short fuse, but we love each other, and support regardless of all that.

I wanted to make this topic to give some awareness to her condition, and perhaps try to tell people that people are alot more than what a piece of paper says they are - this woman in spite of a lower IQ learned english through skype convos with me. (with some misunderstandings) Also, she has a high emotional intelligence so she has a talent for countering any negative intrusive thought i may have, and even encouraged me to start going to therapy to work out my own issues. I have found despite my poor social skills i myself can counter her negative thoughts about herself too.

I know it's alot, but thanks for taking the time to read - if you have any questions i'll try my best to answer them. She has an account too so might chime in, but note her written English/punctuation may be a bit shaky.
she sounds nice.i hope your relationship prosper.
