No I think too. Just someone my family knew. Never met her though. She was in poor health though. I had 2 friends die last 2 years from flu+pneumonia. One was in his 80's and poor health. The other had COPD for 7 years and over her lifetime had pneumonia 12 times.

On surface level it makes sense. Sony and Square-Enix Japan go way back. Which is why this rumor always persist.

But overall I don't really think there's any correlation even if Sony ends up buying them. For one the sale made no difference to their overall value. Why would Sony want to pay the same for less? Even Sony bought them and closed down all of the Eidos studios they wouldn't even get any value from shoving all of those old games onto PS+ Premium? That has been the big focus for every Microsoft acquisition and most acquisitions in general over the last few years. Content. Square-Enix cut a lot of that out when they sold Eidos.

But okay lets say they only care about Square-Enix Japan. They certainly don't give any shits about games like Live A Live or Triangle Strategy. Those games have been partially funded by Nintendo. That leaves AAA stuff like Final Fantasy and Forspoken. Which Sony already pay for to get as timed exclusives and get most of the sales on their platform already. So what actually changes for them? It's not going to make an impact to Xbox as those games already struggle to sell there. It's not going to make an impact in Japan where Japan is all about the Switch. They're not going to change to PS5 for a handful of Square-Enix games.

But maybe they'll buy them and change nothing. Which seems to be the plan for Activision and Microsoft. But that still raises the question on how Eidos being sold off makes any real sense.

He admits that Square-Enix and Eidos were barely getting along when he worked there a decade ago. Doesn't it still overall make the most sense that Square-Enix simply sold off what they didn't think was worth it for their own benefit? They did the same thing with IO Interactive a few years ago and that was before the acquisitions race.

They go back to 1997. All those games are now on other consoles. Kinda pointless arguement. Rest of Sony is on shaky ground. The game division is the only one to make them money. I'd hate to hitch my wagon to something that might not be around.

Bent down then stood up, fainted and hit his head on the ground. Also broke his back. Never was the same. He then had a stoke and the flu at the same time and died. I mean my friend has since passed away because my friend had a change in her anti-anixety med which was caused by having delusions. The NP decided that was her problem instead of recently going she was blind. My friend was a smoker and had stopped. She was late stage copd. The change in meds with no replacement caused her to resume smoking which hastend her illness. She caught the flu in the hospital then died.
She would have never been there if she had been given the right care. My opinion of NP is very low
