I remember, I think it was the england game, they took Dest out near the end after he had played horribly, and when he got taken out, he was arguing about being taken out and its like, dude, do you not realize you've been playing like crap this tourney? Maybe I'm being too hard on him, but he definitely has stood out as a player who underachieving.

I think usa led in possession and attempts in all their games. Just could not score enough despite ample opportunity. Dest has been absolute trash this whole tourney. His only good game was the Iran game. Is he the best America has to offer these days?

It's similar to your Netflix "My List" backlog. You intend to get to it, but the urgency really isn't there, and you'll eagerly move a new release that seems interesting to the top of the line.

Watched the first episode with a friend who had already seen the whole series. Dropped the biggest twist of the series on me from the get go. So that was fun....Still didn't ruin the show for me. I really enjoyed it. Netflix did almost ruin it though with all the teen romance drama they try to infuse into everything.

For the USA, while they'll likely be underdogs in the first two rounds, I'd at least say its relatively fathomable for them to move on, but then it would be a hard stop at the semis.

Honestly, it's not inconceivable that USA could have a deeper run than England given that England will have to deal with France in the second round.

The group is really interesting now. If England beat America and Wales beat Iran on Friday then England and Wales could play out a draw to both qualify.

As someone who only tunes into soccer during world cup...I feel penalty kicks are too OP. Like, he wasnt even taking a shot when he got fouled. It looks as if he was passing it back. I understand the location of the foul and everything, but still.

With that being said, a bit of a boring match really. Very few targets. I felt like the US played too cautiously in the first half when they were dominating. While Wales had a better second half, it wasn't as dominant as the US's first half. They got bailed out by the penalty kick.
