Given what they had to work with and what they could have done, its like they tried to make the most tepid game imaginable. They clearly put a lot of thought into designing the world, and it shows, but the gameplay itself is half-assed

How is it for someone who has not seen the movies or read the books, but just looking for a nice open world fantasy rpg?

You certainly wouldnt hate playing it, but The Witcher 3 would be more fun, honestly.

I mean, its visually exquisite and theyve managed to quite successfully translate the feel of HP intothe game.

Buuut, the quests and story are lacklustre, formulaic and unimpressive, and the gameplay is very solidly average.

The Merlin trials are so cookie cutter its ridiculous.

My wife was given it as a gift, and its in the Xbox, so Ive been giving it a spin.

Its an average game, just like pretty much every other AAA open world game. Not aggravatingly bad, but not stellar.

I was once ridiculed by an ex partner for getting upset when they made a particularly shitty, hurtful joke about a family member who recently passed. I stress the ex partner part. They literally told me to man up.

I dont really subscribe to masculinity much these days, but Ive stopped being afraid to be emotional, or to express my emotions. Lifes too short to keep things bottled up, and if someone thinks less of be me for expressing my emotions, theyre not someone I want in my life.

besides that, iirc, hundreds of years ago, it was seen as unchristian to do certain practices, like be money lenders, but Jewish people didn't have to worry about that, so even now there are negative stereotypes about Jewish people controlling money.

To add also, in many places in Europe, there were legal restrictions on trades that Jewish people could actually undertake, which meant they were forced into occupations that were considered "unChristian", like usury.

DeSantis is also a nasty, bigoted scrote. Unfortunately, he's also strategic and deliberately malevolent. He could do far more damage to America, and the world at large.

Some have been a bit uncanny.

Like, she found an auction lot for an antique dining set in a style she'd been wanting for years, bought it and the piece of music we played my dad out with (so to speak) came on the radio. She has a set routine each week, and the only reason she wasn't somewhere with a major loss of life at the exact moment it happened was that she was taking receipt of the delivery.

At my engagement party, it came on the radio, and she felt like it meant he was watching, and he was happy.

There have been a whole lot of other instances where it's happened. It's not a common piece of music, but it does seem like she's reaching a bit. I'd love to think it really was the case, but I'm a cynic at heart.

Also, it just makes me sad to think that even if it was the case, he's never tried to reach out to me.

One thing that always weirded me out about neonazis is that it's an extremely tattoo friendly subculture but there's a rotation of just a few tattoos that all of them get without variation. I'm a big tattoo guy and the thought of having a gang of them that everyone else has as well just makes me feel weird.

TBF for them its not about having good art on their skin. They just treat their bodies like a middle schoolers pencil case. Theyre into all the nazi stuff, so they get it all doodled on there.

Just think how many kids there were in the 90s with the Metallica logo on their pencil case
