The levels are just empty wastelands that you can run through, with no thought in the platforming (there is barely any actual platforming). They fill it with so many coins so it feels like there is something. But the few scattered enemies move slower than 1970s zombies. Wario's castle was the only good part, and the only part of the game where you can even die realistically. --- Bells, bells, bells! |

The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Jobu Tupaki's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation- her personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike EEAAO truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Jobu Tupaki's existential catchphrase "Sucked into a bagel," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Daniels' genius wit unfolds itself on their film screens. What fools.. how I pity them --- Bells, bells, bells! |

If you want a story, that's what books and film are for. If you want gameplay, that's what real video games are for. A turn based RPG has never merged both aspects in a satisfying manner; the gameplay is unfulfilling and only acceptable if lack dexterity and mental sharpness; and secondly, you have to deal with the story being broken up among those fruitless ventures. --- Bells, bells, bells! |

I don't think she deserved the nom though, because she never got rid of her Cuban accent, despite her saying she tried alot, and the director even saying they had to fix it in sound mixing post-production. Some want them all lvl 99. Some want one lvl 99 and one untouched (lvl 1 if possible). Some want all shiny, or all regular and all shiny. Some need all versions of the Pokemon (Unown, Alcreamie, Spinda, etc). I never got the desire for it, because who is going to want to randomly use a Gloom. Always seemed like the dex entries do the job, but to each their own. If I ever did it, I'd aim for all shinies. --- Bells, bells, bells! |
