Most of the people who left Twitter for Mastodon or some other site will probably come back sooner or later. And not because I think these people are unable to quit Twitter, or because I think Elon Musk will magically learn how to run a social media platform.

It's because Twitter has a near-monopoly on the kind of social media platform it is, and what kind of services it provides. It's the same reason why people put up with YouTube's bulls***.

The Gamecube was more powerful graphics wise then its competitors but people discounted its value by calling it a "lunch box console."

The GameCube would have done MUCH better if Nintendo didn't make the stupid decision of using mini-DVDs. I said that in my OP.

Nintendo doesn't need to spend extra time and resources doing R&D for a powerful console because it's a guarantee that their platforms will sell based off the value of their intellectual property.

The elephant in the room nobody wants to address is that a lot of Japanese gaming companies are egregiously out-of-touch and behind the curve when it comes to technology and it's more of a cultural issue than business-related.

Um, no they're not? Japan is one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world.

Here's the thing: The N64 and GameCube didn't fail because they were trying to compete against Sony and Microsoft, they failed because Nintendo made stupid decisions with those consoles, like sticking with cartridges and using mini-DVDs. A Nintendo console on par with the PS5 and Xbox Series X would most likely do very well. Imagine a Nintendo console with amazing first party AND third party games, and having Mario and Zelda in 4k and 60 FPS. It's actually really simple to make a console that sells well.

If I can figure this out, why can't a multi-billion dollar company like Nintendo?

Trump won because of a perfect storm of having a dedicated base, running against a DEEPLY unpopular candidate, foreign interference, and Hillary ignoring the Rust Belt. Even then, he lost the popular vote by 3 million votes.

When he ran against Biden, who has NOWHERE NEAR the baggage Hillary had, he lost by the exact amount he won in 2016.

If your a non voter then you have absolutely no right to complain about anything. Make the damn time. Some jobs even let you go early so you can vote. There is no excuse to not go out and do it. So I'm gonna continue to shame non voters. Especially the ones who wanna complain about everything but then say they don't vote.

Not everyone can afford to take time off work to vote. Do you know how many people are one missed paycheck away from living on the streets?

Not every state has the same access to mail-in voting, either. Here are the mail-in voting requirements in my state of Texas:

be 65 years or older;
be sick or disabled;
be out of the county on election day and during the period for early voting by personal appearance; or

Stop shaming non-voters. Not everyone can afford to take time off work to wait in line for hours to vote. Not everyone has the same access to voting that you do.
