what bothers me about American grocery stores is how meat is kept in open door fridges. Why don't American grocery stores keep frozen foods in fridges with doors? IT WILL HELP KEEP THE FOOD COLD LONGER AND LESS PRONE TO TAMPERING!
I don't think places like Walmart would make a change this big based on one person's point of view.

Smell has to be the biggest red flag. Red meat could be discolored but if it doesn't smell then you should be good provided you cook the meat properly. Of course, if that type of stuff makes you queasy then just get the premium beef and pay the premium price. Or learn to live with it, if you can't.

Yes, hope is a meaningless attribute.

Do you think, for the average human, hope does more harm than good? The constant longing for something positive in their life can have serious consequences when things don't exactly unfold the way they expect to.

Do you think it would be more rational to have more realistic expectations in life?

I personally enjoy the taste and state of being drunk but I absolutely hate the aftermath which why I drink very moderately.

I wish there was a way I could enjoy the good without the bad.

Different animals experience different level of emotions. A housecat whose owner passed away is obviously going to be much more emotional than a male lion who's been separated from its group trying to survive in the ruthless lands of the sub-Saharan Africa. Failure is rarely an option for the latter, they must spend every ounce of their being to hunt, mate and conquer. Unfortunately, many fail to survive, yet they die with dignity.

Then think of the scenario this way. If someone offered to give you any supercar in the 200k-250k price range, which one would you pick? They're not giving you any money, just the car. So if you pick something outside of that price range, you get nothing. And if you pick something that's 200k, you don't get the "leftover" money. It's just the car.
Probably an Aventador if I can get it for that price.

Yes, I like to imagine some of the many brutal and agonizing ways humans have died and try to experience their pain on a smaller, more bearable level. Some of the stuff I'll be unable to experience until I die like that myself such as burning to death or being flayed. That level of pain is unfathomable for most humans who have not gone through excruciating trauma like that.

Sometimes through meditation I'm able to feel pain by concentrating on the suffering of my ancestors.
