In VA-07, Vega is leading Spanberger by 5.9k with basically just early votes and several precincts in Prince William County remaining where Spanberger is up by 30 points.

Yeah, there was a county Republicans table bordering one of the sidewalks into the voting area (an elementary school) here. They were making a bunch of noise cheering as some people spoke to them coming out from voting. Probably just telling them that they voted for Vega. Kind of obnoxious.

You should definitely be fine voting absentee next year. I don't believe Youngkin can unilaterally change the mail in provisions since the Democrats still control the senate. But of course that election might change that. I'm hoping not.

Isn't VA-7 Spanberger's district? I thought that leaned blue?

VA-7 leans blue yeah. I meant to say I'm specifically in a very red precinct within VA-7.

My polling place (in VA-7 in a very red district) was pretty average for turnout, though I went at lunch time. Usually I hit slightly earlier, so maybe this is down from normal.

I started to say Atlanta Braves for whatever reason. I think my mind jumped forward like 5 years.

For games, it's Road Runner's Death Valley Rally on SNES. I was 5 or 6. I stand by my assessment from back then, too. It really does have terrible level design and the music is some of the worst you'll find on SNES. But the visuals are nice and mechanically I don't think it's a bad concept.

For books, it's hard to say. I tended to kind of enjoy nearly everything I picked up early on. I remember thinking Gone with the Wind was pretty boring when I grabbed it in 7th grade (age 12) just so I could get the massive Accelerated Reader points from a test on it.

Shows: Barney & Friends. Hated the singing, thought he gave dinosaurs a terrible name and look. Age 4.

Films: My Fair Lady (1964). Kind of a weird story with this one, but as a kid I hated nearly every live action musical. This one stands out just because of one particular night I was trying to sleep and my mom insisted on watching it at high volume so I could hear it in my bedroom. When I came out to complain about it, she got furious with me. I think I was 8.

Probably the biggest reason I don't do that is I know THC does weird stuff to REM sleep and basically blocks dreams. I actively maintain a dream journal and try to do lucid dreaming so I don't want anything that's going to disrupt that because I'm weirdly attached to my dreams.

Fitness tests in school were kind of funny. When I was a kid, I was virtually always overweight or obese and failed the pull-up and mile run tests but was great with the sit-ups and always got excellent flexibility scores.

I've had a normal BMI ever since 2014 and now I'd excel on any of the tests. Feels good.

Anyway, I have no specific fitness objectives at the moment. I'm sure I'll think of some. I do need to improve my sleep and recently I've decided that watching videos in bed is one of the worst habits I've ever picked up so I'm keeping my phone away from the bed now. Last night was pretty restful and I woke up on my own after just over 6 hours of sleep.

Yeah, though at least Dashcon's ball pit at least didn't break anyone's bones.

I think it was a rent payment in 2008 or maybe early 2009.
