I played these games for the mystery/problem solving and found DR1 too simple, DR2 great and DRV3 just getting repetitive. Somehow there is always a double murder in case 3 and the big person always dies in case 4

Oh yeah and there were lots of controversy when AI art was trained on pirated or stolen material

I see people on Twitter passing AI art as their own and trying to make money off it. So I hate it already.

I did consider using the anime opening or some clip which have animated characters. But that wouldn't be very consistent with the visual novel and it would look like asking you to rate two visual designs

I would probably have used different videos if I knew you would factor in animation quality, like movements? All I did was to try and show art styles and designs and ended up with not so exciting videos

Some of the assets in old school runescape are actually 'new' because they are still updating the game but had to keep to the old style of graphics. From a technical standpoint yeah it deserves to be low ranked but I do think some of the gear and environmental designs compensate for that

Its a strategy game so players are going to look at maps all the time. Theres not going to much variety anyway, but I think the artwork and maps do count as visual design?

...I hadn't realized that this song's singer, Minami Takayama, also provided the voice of the main character.

She once appeared as herself in the anime and had a concert. So she was voicing two characters at once in the same episode... and had to sing both normal and terrible versions of one of her songs because it was about a concert.

Towa probably has my favourite singing voices among vtubers. It's a shame she won't use that in streams anymore because it got flamed badly in early days for not being cutesy-enough and she decided to switch to a higher pitched voice (which is also good). And she doesn't sing very often!

I like this the best among my nominations in this topic. It fits her appearance very well... but not her actual personality it would seem.

I was really confused how you managed to get different translations. Turns out they are two entirely separate songs sharing the same name!

The song you found was based on an old Chinese poem. It expresses loneliness from being separated from his family but he is sure they will meet again one day (analogy is how the moon waxes and wanes) and wishes them well. So it isnt originally about romance, though the modern song can be interpreted that way.

As for the one I nominated I cant actually find any good interpretation. I would say its more someone close to you rather than humanity in general, and keeping memories of them alive. Which is pretty sad considering how the singer died.

BONUS. Kaguya-sama: Love is War

Dont really have high expectations for my recommendation, but I guess it turned out pretty well. Lately I kind of moved on because the Kaguya manga ended and the ending was a bit disappointing on how it handled some of the characters.

Theres a movie that came out in Japan continuing from S3 that we will see online some day. Its as romance-focused as you can get, though I havent seen it and cant say whether you will like it or not.

Forgot to mention that Taiko Risshiden doesnt have a English translation, you need to know Japanese (or Chinese) to play that.

Never got into RotK or Nobunaga's Ambition much even though I am a big fan of the time periods. I heard RotK XI was generally regarded as the best modern(ish) game.

Also I wonder if you have heard of Taiko Risshiden which is also a Koei game set in Sengoku Japan but plays more like a sandbox RPG.

I dont like the twist of AI2 at all, doesnt affect the characters or story in a meaningful way and made the murder mystery extremely straightforward.
