Was the third one that bad? I loved the first two, I never played the third due to it coming out at a very weird time in my life and all the reviews were so overwhelmingly negative. By the time I was financial stable and bought video game consoles again it seemed like it wasn't worth it.

Without saying too much, there were some really awful ass-pulls in the writing, and all the animation they burned so much of the budget on looks horrible. I also kinda disliked switching between multiple characters; staying rooted to one character made things feel much more mysterious and suspenseful in my opinion.

For whatever it's worth, it's probably not a big deal to people unfamiliar with MK. I was talking about the movie with a student at the school I work at who was new to MK, and he seemed to think Cole was just one of the regulars.

I'm a school psychologist, which has been my dream job for some time. The money isn't great, but I love what I do. I feel like I've made a difference for a lot of kids, and I've garnered a pretty sterling reputation among my coworkers.

One of the first things I tried on character.ai was a fantasy CYOA where you start off stuck in a spider web with the choices of trying to escape or trying to kill the spider, but I said I wanted to befriend the spider, so we ended up becoming best pals and going on an adventure together.

It's pretty hilarious how adaptable character.ai is. I played one of those Choose Your Own Adventure ones and I was blown away by how well it could roll with whatever goofy responses I threw at it. In high school, my friends and I would either toss a disc around or play Mario Kart DS or Metroid Prime: Hunters behind the school every day at lunch. It was the best.

There really is something special about Golden Retriever puppies. When fully grown, I think Corgis are the cutest, but as puppies, Goldens win.

For a while, I watched The Jimquisition pretty regularly. The videos were always well-reasoned and funny, but the bitterness really wore on me. I'd agree with everything being said, but by the end of the video I'd just find myself feeling shittier than before I watched, and eventually just asked myself "Why do I keep doing this to myself?"

And then a few months later, she came out as trans.

All that being said, it's saddening to see this happening. I appreciate what she does, and it hurts seeing how transphobic the gaming community continues to be.

The way I see it, no matter what point in time you were born in, it's going to come with some fortunes and misfortunes unique to your era. I imagine there have been people at every point in history who have said "The best days of humanity are behind us, it's all downhill from here," and I would argue that anyone making that statement in the past was wrong. If I, then, say that it's all downhill from here, looking at that broader perspective, odds are I'd be wrong too.

In my high school, it was actually the norm to refer to teachers by their first names. I now work in a high school myself where the norm is for staff to go by Mr./Ms. Lastname, but I kinda ride the fence and go by Mr. Firstname.

But the funny thing is now I bristle a tiny bit when kids just call me by my first name without the Mr., lol. I dont try to correct them or anything but it does feel kinda weird.
