No I honestly did not know that Sony and Nintendo was suppose to partner for an add on for the SNES dubbed the Play Station. But it wouldn't have made sense simply because the SNES used carts and the Play Satation was cds so I doubt people would have bought both cart games and cd games for the same console.

They also went to Sega who turned Sony down as well because they were developing the Saturn.

But yeah I never knew this stuff. In the 1990s there was no internet so outside of gaming magazines, there wasn't too many sources to get gaming information.

The GOP are a bunch of hypocrites and anyone who knows their history especially from Nixon, to Reagan to now knows that.

They are anti everything no matter what they is, they are against it. They do not believe in helping fellow Americans, they do not believe in regulating businesses, they do not believe in gov programs, but they do believe in bailing out billion dollar banks etc via US taxpayer money.

They have destroyed public education, healthcare, freedoms (Patriot Act), the Court system (7/8 of the current Supreme Court Justices are all GOP appointed) etc etc

Not really much the way I am not interested in another XMen, BatMan or Superman movie.

I watched this over the weekend and was totally surprised when they did the video game segment.

When Sony and Nintendo was suppose to partner to make the SNES a cart and CD rom console, at the last minute without warning at the CES show, Nintendo did an about face and announced they were partnering with Phillips to the surprise of Sony who thought they had a deal to product the Nintendo Play Station.

I also did not know that a Black guy name Jerry Lawson help design the Fairchild Channel F which was the first game console based on a microprocessor and game cartridges and he also invented the first commercial video game cart based on an idea he got from looking at an 8 trace tape cartridge.

Lawson is known as the "father of the video game cartridge" so it's safe to say if not for Mr. Lawson, maybe there isn't an Atari, NES. SNES, Sega MS or Sega Genesis.

Guys like Mr. Lawson and Mr. Ralph Baer, the father of the video game, never get their fair shake.

Mr. Lawson passed away in 2011! Mr. Baer passed away in 2014!

The last dvd movie I bought was "No Time To Die" but I do not buy movies like I used to.

I eat cereal on occasion because it's just too cost too much to make it a regular breakfast food.

Nothing wrong with being rich but I also think when someone has been blessed with wealth beyond their dreams, they should use that for the common good of their fellow man/woman.

I hate rich people who mistreat and underpay people who work for them and rich people who use their wealth to hijack the government and the courts for their benefit.

That ticks me off more than anything about some rich people but that's the world I'd like to live in but sadly that's not the world we live in.

Doesn't matter what are you are as long as you get there. Some people are slower to make that move but it's all good. Just be careful out here!

Every once in a while. It's over 750, so there is nothing to really worry about.

That's great but it all takes is a missed payment and it takes a hit even if the missed payment was an honest mistake in which someone may have simply forgot to make.

It's estimated that roughly 123M Americans have less than a stellar credit score.

Prior to the 1970s, there was no such thing as a credit score at least for consumers but then that all changed when credit card companies started issuing CCs to working people and they needed a way to "check" your credit worthiness since CCs are "Unsecured Loans" which require no collateral.

For me it's a toss up depending on how I'm feeling. I'd go Chipotle.

I guess some people just want to run their business as they see fit sans rules and regs.

But keep in mind whether anyone agrees or not America's economy was born, bred and perfected on slave plantations and that's the mindset of employers today and the reason why they do not like Gov regulations and unions because they want to operate as they see fit regardless of who they hurt.

I think so because it would give people time to get their thoughts together about who they vote for as opposed to getting off work to rush to the poll.

Kyrie knew better but more than that this country's has millions of people who were in line with what Nazi Germany did in regards to the Holocaust yet when someone Black whether that's Kanye West's rants or whether that's Kyrie posting a link to a movie, Black people are viewed as if racism only lives in the minds of Black people who have suffered agreed or not countless decades of racism in America and no one can dispute that.

We had a sitting US President who used racial talk every chance he got yet no one called him out for it including his claims of building a wall to keep out certain people South of an imaginary US border and again not one person said a word.

We have a political party (GOP) that for the better part of 50 years or so has used a platform of hate speech and lies to gain office and when they don't get their way, suddenly we need voter id's or the election was rigged or the voting machines were tampered with or they get urged by that same president to storm the Nation's Capitol and it's done in the name of White Nationalism and yes hatred and bigotry and I don't care if anyone agrees or not because that's the truth.

According to the US Census data, in about 25 to 30 years, the US will be one half White and one half People of Color so those of us who may be fortunate enough to be around at that time had better start figuring out how to make things better going forward or this country is going to be in a bigger mess than we are now in regards to race relations, sexism, homophobia etc.

In the early 1970s, Nixon said he wanted to get drugs off the street but in reality it was a ruse to target certain people, heavily penalized them and revoke their voting privileges.

So in 1971, Nixon launched his "War On Drugs" which was never about getting drugs off the streets because it did the opposite of that. First of all, when you fight a war, you need an enemy. Secondly, you do not fight a health issue with the criminal justice system.

In regards to the question, in the early 20th century, Mexican migrant workers brought weed into the country and as they spread out for work, so did their custom of smoking weed and then laws began making it illegal because it was Mexicans bringing the weed into the country and a certain faction railed against that much the way a certain faction railed against alcohol which led to Prohibition.

RE for me is my favorite.

Well could be but lets be honest about US history. From the beginning in those Colonies, the elite rich land owners called all the shots because they decided to lock people out who didn't own land. Wealthy White men convinced not wealthy White men that although you may not financially wealthy, your skin gives you ad advantage a leg up etc over everyone else in America so as long you're White, you'll always have a job etc etc because you'll get first crack at any and all opportunities across the board and they bought that.

Later, that also locked people out who didn't own land and slaves so mainly much like today, we have wealthy elite White men telling everyone else what to do and they use fear tactics to keep some of us teetering on the edge.

The GOP of the two parties, decided to use that playbook and drive home that point very well. When jobs began moving out offshore and working class White men couldn't find work, the GOP seized an opportunity to blame the job loss on Black people and Affirmative Action and White people bought that narrative like a hot stock.

Then when the AA ran its course they said, well the reason you can't find a job is because of the threat of semi skilled labor from South of the border which again wasn't true but the GOP used that to keep winning elections all while promising to fix all of the problems of White mostly male working class men and they bought.

Donald Trump to a degree played on those same fears with his promise to build a wall to keep those people out.

Now because the corporate control of our Gov and our Courts, White men are once again seeing their backs pushed against the wall which leads to drug abuse, alcohol, divorce, and all of the insane things we now see in this country

Guys murdering their entire families to avoid paying child support and alimony, wages not rising significantly for the people on lowed end of corp salaries etc etc.

Thomas Jefferson, upon breaking ground for the University Of Virginia said; "People should 3 to 6 years of compulsory education and at the end, we'll pick a few geniuses from the rubbish."

Now I'll that to everyone's imagination as to who Jefferson felt were the rubbish. Being that he wasn't talking about Black folks or Native American folks, what group of people did that leave back then,

White people, especially White men yet as White men we keep ignoring all the signs that the Elites and the wealthy in America have, over time, harmed us as much as they have harmed Black people and other non Whites.

Those of us who are White males, keep ignoring that fact that wealthy White me do not like not wealthy White men but they give us just enough not to rile upset us at them so they point fingers at others in society and tell us that those people are the problem for the crime, drugs, us not getting jobs etc etc and time and time again since those Colonies,those of us who are White men have fell for this BS and we still do because we may not be super wealthy but at least we ain't Black.

This country is coming unglued before our eyes and we all act as if we don't see it. People on drugs, alcohol, with mental illness, mired in heavy debt from student loans, CC, etc on top of everyday expenses of living, mortgage, gas bills, cell. internet, fam life, high gas prices because most us live an hour or so away from where we spend most of our time and that's at work.

But the pay across the board for most people especially working class people in America hasn't kept up so some of us work more hours for OT, our wives work, some of us have more than one job etc etc all in an attempt to keep up this Middle Class life illusion and we all pay for that in the end at some point.

I bought one about 2 years ago and it comes in handy when storms roll through and power goes out.

He should be in jail. This guy along with Roger Stone, played a very important role in the rise of Trump with their lies and conspiracy theories then Jones went to far with the Sandy Hook lies.

This is part of the problem in America in that really rich people wanting tax dollars to pay for something or getting huge tax cuts etc.

I think so and most of the country's wealth sits at the top in the hands of a very group of powerful people who use their wealth to sway laws and regulations and politics to stack the economic system against the majority of people most of whom are people of color.

For whatever reason, Sega botched it after the Genesis. They had all of those add-ons for the Genesis i.e. Sega Cd, 32x etc. They screwed up big time with the Saturn and by the time DC came, it was all but over for Sega.

I never had a Saturn but I did have a Dreamcast and it was cool as you said. My fav games on the DC were: Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing, Space Channel 5, NFL 2k series, Samba deAmigo, Dead or Alive, Sonic Adventure, RE: Code Veronica, Jet Set Radio, Phantasy Star Online, Virtua Tennis, NBA 2k series, Shenmue, and Soulcalibur.

I guess some people aren't with this push of people wanting to expose their kids to the LBGTQ movement.

So he said he's against socialism and that he favors small government and the free market capitalist system and I said name a date when the US Gov was small and he then got mad and I said I just asked a question about the time in your opinion when the US Gov was small to which he couldn't answer.

So then I said so you like the free market system and you dislike socialism to which he said yeah and I said OK well uh when the US Gov gave away 200,000 million acres of land for free out West to newly arriving immigrants
from Europe, what would you call that.

I then go well today in 2022 there's an estimate that between 20 to 50M people live on farms and ranches out West that their ancestors received for free under Homestead Acts and not one of them have ever shown up in DC and said: Here take this back because I didn't get it honestly but nobody does that now do that.

So again I asked him to name a date when the US Gov was small.
I guess he hasn't found that date yet.

He is and I think there should be an age limit. We have politicians in DC who have been there since the Nixon presidency.

That needs to stop because that just keeps these old geezers in office playing the usual games that they play.

Need younger people with fresh new ideas in DC. Biden has been in DC politics since the early 1970s when some of our parents were young people.
