Congrats. I get glimpses and know it's possible. When I recovered from Covid I was on cloud 9 for almost a month and I was like "Holy shit, is this how it feels to not be depressed" >_>. Sadly, I reverted back to just glimpses. But knowing it's still possible for me specifically was a good thing.

I won the first time gambling at a casino. That set a very dangerous precedent. I was quickly brought back in line when I lost a whole paycheck during a later visit. The lesson was learned.

I don't know how people reject the outside. Michigan just had a nice warm wave and my mood is infinitely better than it was before it. And like you, it's nothing super special. It's just running around my shitty small backyard with my dog or going on lil walks. Me and my niece also dug in her backyard and rabdomly found what seems to be thousands of spark plugs. That was weird and left a lot of questions. And Im not exaggerating. We dug up a literal thousand and gave up with no signs of hitting the end of them.

At one point I looked at her and was like "I think the spark plugs are gonna win". Because we were gonna see how many there was.

The reality is a lot of it is just entitlement and always thinking about your discomforts without considering others. Hell, I have severe scoliosis. So, there a lot of public things that force me into positions I immediately feel discomfort. But Im aware enough to realize theres tons of people who go through discomfort every day and my discomfort doesn't just take priority over everyone else's discomfort and inconveniences. There's a level of it that is too much but there's a level that builds character just from you realizing you're not the only victim in this world. If you throw a rock, you'll hit someone with discomfort.

If you compare what we have to endure against any other century, we're all coming off like lil punk bitches for the most part lol. Which, it's good we're gaining comforts. Nearly two full years, just the cat and I, chilling every evening. I did have a very close friend living a few blocks away so that was nice too. I didnt have a tv in my bedroom and got used to that but my gf sleeps better with one, so now Im back to that ha.

It took a good while of living alone for the loneliness to hit me. i moved into my house like10 years ago and maybe 2 of those years involved having others live with me. It's been 6 since any of that. I've had a dog for pretty much all of it. That definitely helped, but nothing can replace human interaction imo. Im not saying you gotta be identical to me, just saying I wouldn't be so sure until the longevity is more of a reality. And also, tbf, I still am completely cool with it most the time. It's just Id definitely put up with the annoyances of others to not be alone as much as I am now. That flipped over time. Everything I do alone, I enjoy more with company now. I can't start a movie without being half an hour in like "I should stop and see if blank wants to watch this with me later"

Being a high teenager or early 20 something and randomly coming across Pingu was an amazing experience. I also just think I have a deeper like of Penguins than other animals. Cause being super high and going to see Happy Feet was an insane experience too. Penguins are just next level when high.

I think their issue is a cause and effect one. They sort of believe that immoral things happen after one obtains wealth as opposed to the reason that they become wealthy in the first place. So something like Amazon utilizing slave labor, running competitors out through duplicitous means, etc. don't matter because that was in the past (well, okay, not only in the past) and what matters is that now Bezos is rich so as long as he doesn't personally do anything bad he should be viewed through the lens of a good person.

That's like creating a monster for good and when it turns on everyone, you take all the funds allocated for it and go "Iunno, that's your problem now. What? Use this money to help stop it? You silly goose, Im not doing that."

I can respect that but I don't agree with the opinion that being wealthy is inherently immoral. There certainly are many wealthy people who exploit others to make money but a lot of the upper crust are just making passive income from their companies. If Jeff Bezos opened up Amazon and then just sat at his desk not touching it, he would still be a billionaire. Would that be considered ethical wealth? You try operating a company like Amazon, Microsoft, or Apple, and not becoming filthy rich. There are a ton of loopholes and exploits many people use to make more money, but I don't think the central idea of having wealth is inherently immoral. But the government definitely shouldn't be kow twoing to these companies and should crack down on things like tax loopholes.
