The Archer and Ariana consecutive battle was annoying, so I save stated to try and get through it after a while. I probably could have tried adjusting more things, but it was just grating.

Blaine wasn't particularly hard, but Eruption Typhlosion gave me trouble. It has a unique ability in this game where it has increased priority in fire moves if it's at full health, so I can't use Sucker Punch to weaken Eruption. Had to hope the timing was good where the Sun was gone, and the Pokemon was just tanky enough to live a hit. Galarian Rapidash managed to take him out, and since my Runerigus had taken out the Charizard (or helped), the rest was easy.

After leveling up, I was able to beat May on Cinnabar, though I had some early resets trying to figure out the best way to deal with her Flygon. To start with though, I was able to go damageless against the Solrock, because it either EQs or Stealth Rocks, but M-Alakazam Trace gives Levitate. Main issue is that I can't CM, because it has a sash and Explosion, so I had to double tap it instead of setting up. My Alakazam might have actually outsped everything, even the Manetric she had. I used some Sucker Punches between Umbreon and Obstagoon to ensure a win against the M-Blaziken.

Beat Jasmine. She has a few different leads, but the good one for me is the Forretress lead. It sets up Spikes and SR, and in turn allows me to Mega Evolve Alakazam, copy Sturdy with Trace, Calm Mind, and hit it with two Shadow Balls. She goes into Sturdy Aggron, so I SB twice to kill it. Then Melmetal, who I Focus Blast. Then I believe she went Metagross, Bullet Punch killed me. I beat it with Obstagoon, then Obstagoon failed to get Sucker Punch off on Lucario due to E-Speed. My new Klefki paralyzes it, and it dies to CC. This ensures my G-Rapidash kills with Flare Blitz, and then does the same to the Magnezone. Leaving my Gliscor and Corviknight for insurance.

I started to save state on Koga, just to check damage, then I got what was probably a lucky crit. I was in a super good position, save stated again, but never actually had to load either. So that means so far, Ive still only really cheated on Morty.

Cycling Road was a menace, but Im pretty sure I only lost to the 2nd to last trainer, the Mega Lapras got me a few times. Just beat Brendan in front of the Safari Zone. Lost a few times there. His Exploud was trouble, and the Sceptile was a bit rough. Umbreon keeps coming in clutch.

Sabrina took like 3 tries. First one I just wasn't prepared for the lead. 2nd try they got off Trick Room early enough still from the Gardevoir that I eventually got outlasted by the Ursaluna and Porygon2. 3rd try, turns out the Gardevoir is also super slow, so I basically one shot everything until the Ursaluna and Porygon2 came out, iirc. Having my entire team left let me outlast them. Obstruction from Obstagoon let me stall and also ensure Ursaluna would die. And Perrserker was the one who one-shot the fairies. I just remembered though, that I got fairly lucky with one-shotting the Indeedee-F with Obstagoon Night Slash crit.

Giovanni 2 was a bit annoying. Garchomp had Sand Veil I assume, which made the fight inconsistent. Had to Bulldoze twice with Gliscor, only get hit by 2-3 hits of Scale Shot, and then kill with Acrobatics. Then some other stuff happened I forget. The ending was getting in Obstagoon without the M-Kangaskhan having done Power Up Punch. I could then survive one POP, and kill with Cross Chop. I might have been done for if Cross Chop has missed, I think my Sucker Umbreon was dead.

Beat Giovanni in the Game Corner, and Chuck. Giovanni, it felt like I was doing pretty little damage, so I got Play Rough for Rapidash, so I could switch into Infernape CC, Flame Charge, and then PR to kill. Covet didn't kill there. Dazzling Gleam was for Alakazam and killing the Honchkrow that switches in every time for the lead of Alakazam/Nidoking. It didn't actually kill, but things worked out anyway.

Chuck I beat 2nd or 3rd try I think, got lucky where Play Rough crit Poliwrath, and I don't think it would have killed. All my Pokemon were close to leveling since I had to beat two Black Belts after my cap had been raised. Might have made the difference, because Rapidash barely lived M-Gallade's Psycho Cut, and then one-shot it and Breloom, which was the anchor. Rapidash was just good here. Alakazam didn't get much time to shine, since Focus Sash Hitmontop killed it.

If I play another, I was thinking Unbound as my next. I can check it out though.

I had to EV train my Gliscor so Acrobatics would kill (except it didnt on the one I won >_>). I also used Alakazam Calm Mind / Recover to set up on the M-Venusaur. I got killed by Serperior after, but it being at 1 HP let me kill it with Umbreon Sucker Punch. Galarian Rapidash cleaned up the rest.

I could see why if youre in a challenge mode, but otherwise itd probably be easier to just look for some good Pokemon to deal with things.

I cheated on Morty using Save States >_>. Theoretically I could have kept retrying with the same team and hope to get lucky, but it just felt super RNG to the point I didnt want to bother with it. I invested a lot into an Umbreon that was having trouble helping. It clutched at the end though.

Beat Whitney after grinding all my team up to 34. Tried to not go over that, though the Kadabra I was using leveled up to 35 in the middle of the fight. Wouldnt have made a difference, he outspend the Wigglytuff either way, which was at like 1 HP.

There's so many pokemon in every route. The first time I caught a meowth with a nugget, I thought it was overkill making it that easy to make that much money so early. But if you want to catch them all you're going to need to farm for money.

Ive never been much of a catch em all guy, so the only grinding Im likely to do is for levels.

I thought Misty was kinda tough, but Lt. Surge was brutal. Still have to do Whitney as well. Miltank is a menace as ever.

Yeah I never played SS, so Id pretty much assumed that. I had seen Alcremie before, so seeing what it evolved into made sense.

So far this is pretty fun. A lot of options for Pokemon to use, and there are a good amount of fairly difficult battles. Not cause its unfair, but just because your team composition might be a poor fit. Grinding doesnt seem too hard though, a lot of options to get people to switch things up as needed. And the level cap feature to prevent overleveling is nice

Pretty much agree with what everyone else already said. Ill add that I appreciated that we got to see more of Frozone, even if it was just a little bit more. Wish Mr. Incredible had a bit more to do in the 2nd. I didnt mind him taking a different role, but still.

A lot of people who play the series have been annoyed about it, since even with good internet, it can feel unstable. Never tried it myself. I imagine it would be serviceable for a casual playthrough, but playing on hard could be an issue.

I'm trying to figure out which character this is. There are a few possibilities

So I messed up again, but I realized just how messed up how two adjacent columns were considering the few 'certain' rows and columns, so instead of restarting, I just tried to work out a pattern that was most likely to be correct based on everything else I had. Will see if it holds up.

I think I just know, but I know how the knuckle thing works.

I was super confused for a while. I don't know if I can explain it well though.

Essentially, a number means there are that many boxes filled in, in a row. When there are multiple numbers, it means the same thing, but the groups of boxes have to have at least one space between them. Something like 1 6 3 means that the 6 group has to be between the 1 and 3 group, but the direction can be either way. For instance:

1X666666X333 and 333X666666X1 are both valid. Now imagine those are overlayed with each other, and they match the length of the row they're on.
1X666666X333
333X666666X1

In this case, you could fill in the box with any one that has a number on both, because that has to be filled no matter which direction the groups are in, and you can use that information to solve other rows/columns. One of the main strategies is to start with the really big number, because they will pretty much always have some overlap.

As an aside, the example I gave is if they fit the box perfectly, but it can work to a point if the row was longer, but you have to do a lot more checking to see if they have to overlap, instead of simply maybe doing so.

I've been reading good things about Picross DS and Mario Picross in particular, might try that Steam free option. This is my next challenge though...

hm, I kept working on and off, and then screwing up. Still in the middle of it, but I've not been able to find any big breakaway points, just single points. I guess it means I'm not leaping to conclusions and screwing up, but it's super slow.

I heard that there's not really a separate magic stat, or at least no MP. Also that there's no attribute system, so nothing is weak to fire, or strong against it, or something of the sort.
