It's crazy they think they invented those colors. They may have invented a formula to recreate them but colors exist. They just are on the planet.
not just colors, combinations of colors. it does make some sense to say that a particular color scheme can be trademarked or copyrighted (and the more colors in the color scheme the more it makes sense to claim). it wouldn't make sense to claim a single color but that's not what's happening (I think).

I suppose a single color shouldn't be protected but I think here it's a set of colors which does make some sense. that said, 'I already avoid Adobe software', except the reader, which I use begrudgingly.

it's a condition on me willing to really be shot. but I'm saying that since the condition is not possible IRL, then I wouldn't actually let myself get shot IRL. even a grazing shot will leave a bad scar.

if the bullet will not permanently injure me as a human then who cares if I get shot. I'd get shot for fun if I knew there was no permanent injury (that being a very important condition that is not actually possible IRL).

plain canned tuna? yeah it tastes like dry canned fish meat, which is what it is.

mix it with mayonaisse/miracle whip and add green onions, hard boiled eggs, paprika, etc., and it's a lot better (I think, usually done with salmon not tuna).

try subway tuna which is pretty good too

System Shock 2

(thematically Doom 3 could in some ways be considered System Shock 3)

Dark Souls to the extent that could be considered horror (deja vu someone telling me it isn't)

lately played Roblox Doors which is technically horror though it's for kids; it's not bad for a kids' game

Unico black olives indeed are like tire rubber. for some reason they're dry, hard, and tasteless.

Primo black olives are much better, soft, oily, and tasty.

Thats why I think it should basically make you have to opt out of the minimum password requirement. Opting out should put the responsibility on the person more. As in they didnt their best to protect your account, and told you the best way to guard your password. And the account holder opted out, making their account more vulnerable
it sounds like you're picturing it at an individual (ie: your own) scale, not a global scale. imagine it as a slider in a strategy/sim game. at the bottom of the slider we couldn't even have this conversation since we'd both be locked out of our own accounts already, and having an account in the first place would not be possible. for the internet to function as it does requires a minimal level of security.

I'm not sure people know what the internet is really like. even with some security, you can setup a basic site and be instantly inundated with bot spam and hijack attempts. (actually it's kind of like the warp in WH40k. it's brimming with chaos, but as long as you shield yourself in the right ways you can still function; but leave a hole open, and something will find its way in there, sooner or later.)

Sure. But at that point, the call center just tells them over and over theres nothing they can do until that person hangs up
# of support calls was just an example of the visibility of account hacks (though it's also an unnecessary resource burden). there's more problems having a large percentage of hacked accounts than that, including possible financial liability depending on the site. even if money is not involved, you are (dependent on jurisdiction) not legally allowed to store user data without protecting it, and that includes minimum password strength.

because it directly affects the % of accounts that get 'hacked'. when you have way too many support calls about people having their accounts hacked... raise the password strength requirements and you will notice an immediate drop in account hacks. in many cases strong passwords are required in the first place by payment providers.

well, a shelter worker had said that raccoons were very close to cats such that they can share diseases and that because of this you have to keep your own cats away from any raccoons...

that's kind of sort of true but had implied that raccoons were particularly close to cats when they aren't. raccoons can carry both canine and feline distemper, which can be given to dogs and cats, but they aren't really related to cats except by being mammals, and they're closer to dogs.

I know it sucks, but I have also encountered the alternative, which is uncooperative/combative customer "service", and it makes me realize why it's important to have positive calm service representatives, regardless of how uncooperative the customer is.

(because if both the customer AND the service rep are combative... then you end up with a really really ugly conflict that will not resolve itself and will just escalate, and this will happen all the time. it has to defuse and that's not going to come from the customer (or if the customer realizes they have to be the professional one to get through this, that will not look good for your company.))

Interesting, guess I was wrong.
not sure, but it looks like the wiki page is wrong. at one time the wording on the page was:

Until recently, it was misinterpreted as a sphincter, or circular muscle, but it is actually composed of four independent quadrants that interlace and give only an appearance of circularity.[3]

that was reverted by an anonymous user without discussion into the current "it is a sphincter, but actually it isn't" text which now contradicts itself.

not sure if this is a controversial topic or not, but there has been no argument on the page about this; the page is just kind of a mess.
