I never hated Lana (or Felicity, or Iris) quite as much as other people, but I do understand where the Lana hate is coming from. Their relationship was dragged out for too long. I need to finish my re-watch; I'm halfway through the final season. I love the show, but season five is definitely the point where the universe goes into Shit On Clark Kent mode (and it never fully leaves that mode for the rest of the series).
