If Mewtwo is alive he full heals with recover, match is more interesting but good golly Mario with Lightning Bolt + Mushroom seems ready to explode some fools. I also think his team just seems overall stronger not to mention DK with the possessed sneak attack would do huge damage. Does Donkey Kong punching Mewtwo out of nowhere get type advantage I feel like it does.

Honestly though I just feel like that dual tech looks really strong and while Mewtwo isnt frail I dont think he survives it. Thank you to JC I would not have cared to look up what that IK looked like.

It probably actually works twice, once for each combatant.

Ok so I have now seen what Jungle Japes looks like.

Does Mewtwo stop and buff or does mewtwo rushdown Aigis after that sneak attack.

I think the rushdown is a major mistake because with Cappy on the loose, DK is gonna get a second sucker punch in and allow even Crono to really be able to fuck up the even momentarily distracted Mewtwo.

So lets for the sake of argument say Mewtwo does stop and buff, allowing Aigis to recover and heal and buff a little but not as much herself.

Mario seems like a hard counter to either of DK or Bowser depending on which way they pair off and I am happy to see it that way.

Honestly I think Crono's magic here is a big difference maker.

He has healing magic, and the fact that he acts as a force multiplier with Aigis with their ability to dual tech with Luminaire and Lightning magic comboing with her gunny stuff which has good synergy and work together beats the hell out of the much more clunky, and frankly unwilling on the part of the non-mewtwo partner given Mewtwo's version of teamwork is more like "using his team mates as weapons".

Yeah I think either the dual tech or cappy alone wouldnt be enough to convince me but together, I think Crono wins the day.

for me this boils down to scenario 1:

Mewtwo is dead
AIgis and co sweep DK especially since Cappy'd DK is gonna murderize bowser.

Scenario 2

Mewtwo is not dead and terrain MATTERS

Scenario 2 needs more thought from me.

I really don't want to sleep on Jinx's arsenal either, even beyond the firelight bombs and super rocket. She's got a fully functional minigun besides, and I don't buy K Rool lasting very long against getting perforated by it, even with his bulk. Plus, she's all about guerrilla combat - the more mayhem, the better.

I mean K Rool loves a good ambush himself and he has superior recon on his team to execute just such an ambush.

I think she's experienced enough to know what they are too. It's moreso just, can she afford to shoot down Firelights when being shot at? They're very small flying targets. It feels more likely that she focuses on the enemy team and has to avoid or tank the Firelights than spending her time gunning them down.

There is also the matter that she isn't gonna be around to use them THAT long since Jinx even in the context of her own game isn't especially tanky. Samus just points Jinx's position out to K Rool and he blows her up .

Even still just on physical specs, Samus has so much ability to dip and dive in her own right and she has both orbital bombardment help via K Rool who can actually be invisible the entire time since hes not actually doing any physical attacking AND frankly the much more deadly, much more long distance weapon.

Plus its LITERALLY a gravity suit. It is DESIGNED to resist high gravity fuckery AND let her operate well in low gravity. and is locked together pretty damn tight considering its basically a space suit.

I just dont think that argument holds any water at all.

He commands it from the ground with the visor. Think of it as a target painter, not as him being safe inside an interstellar airship.

(I would also note that the gravity gun doesn't work on organics in Half-Life 2. It's up to Gravy to prove Samus can be grabbed imo)

I was thinking the same thing. Tiger Uppercut has infinite priority and i-frames. It'll be hard to pilot with that prime anti-air in play.

Gunship doesnt even need to get that close, it can literally just drop bombs from outside his reach.

This is pretty simple really. Samus still has the grav suit, which includes her helmet and an X Ray visor. Ravenholm is essentially you typical FPS maze, only in the open air. So she can see through the walls and Gordons team cannot. It completely shuts down any guerilla war advantage Gordons team might possess. Her Nova gun is extremely damaging and should have no trouble piercing walls as it pierces Phazon and phazon related materials and is twice as powerful as her standard plasma. She has a further array of new abilities with her new powers from dread but she really doesn't even need them here.

She can also direct K Rool on where to aim with the gunship from a decent distance.

Even if by some miracle Samus should go down, Kredits gives gives K Rool the ability to do a literal sneak attack with the gunship after Gordon and co must surely be pretty close to dead. At bare minimum the opening salvo here is likely to be Samus and K Rool launching a bombardment on a foe that is trying but failing to ambush them.

I think there are maybe a few miracle "Everything goes right for Gordons team, everything goes badly badly for Samus" runs of this match where samus struggles but almost none where she and K rool lose.

I agree as to the update of Superman. Frankly, the character is a conduit for philosophy and cultural justice, and the latter is entirely the concept of the original Superman. My issue with Snyder Superman is that it didn't try to dally in either of those categories and was more focused on religious iconography for the character, which I think is only earned after achieving something meaningful in the other two categories.

I was sitting here racking my brain trying to remember when Scott Synder did Superman.
