This is a big reason I often find myself not enjoying DLC after the fact. Not only are they generally less intricate (often padded with repetition to make up for the short story), but by the time I play I'm already way rusty and the difficulty is tuned for "So you beat the main game, how about THIS!?" never factoring in that you probably haven't touched the game in at least half a year.

I recall watching all the deleted scenes on the Blu-Ray after I finished the film and they cut SO many scenes that explained what was going on.

I enjoyed the film a lot regardless but it would have been much better if they hadn't gutted it because it's far more coherent with those scenes added back in.

I had a similar experience. I know there was puzzle solving in the first game but in Ragnarok the world felt so artificial because you can't move more than three feet without having to solve a series of convoluted contraptions and there was far too much of it, it felt like padding.

Story-wise, I also felt that Kratos had very little agency and spent most the time just listening to people monologue at him about their own issues and ambitions while he reluctantly got dragged along to all the major story beats.

It's not a game I'd like to play again, and I much preferred the first.

It's a pretty notable absence.

It'd be like a new season of The Office but Jim's there and Dwight's missing and everyone's just pretending that's not a glaring omission.

Yup it has been fantastic and I barely tolerated the first two.

Except for one or two minor things it feels entirely separate from the first two seasons... It could really use a rebrand of some kind, it doesn't deserve to be lumped in with the rest of Picard.

Blue guns that are likely already obsolete?
Compared to what? Post game maybe but just playing the game for the first time those chests were eclipsing anything I was finding naturally. It was a lame mechanic, regardless.

I honestly think the first game got the shooting and looting right. Guns felt powerful and satisfying, and I was often finding awesome new loot. From the second onward they seemed weaker and getting significant upgrades far rarer from just looting chests. You're all good if you got those Twitter keys though!

I did much prefer the story in 2, that being said. 1 had a very cool atmosphere and style but the plot was mostly plodding and unsurprising, 2 kept things interesting and funny. 3 was trash all around.

I'm beginning to wonder if when the next game finally happens, they should just drop the multiple route thing. I don't have a problem with it but I've seen so many people drop the game once they see the first set of credits, not really comprehending the game's story has barely even started yet.

They could still cover all the exact same stuff, just don't treat them as endings because it really gives people the wrong impression.

Either way, yes the game is fantastic. Only reason I haven't played it again yet is because I don't want to risk lessening the emotional impact it had on me the first time around. One of the best videogame soundtracks of all time too.

He said he will only do it if Sam Raimi directs one, and Sam Raimi doesn't seem interested so this is a bit of a non-starter.

Still informative though and at least you can't really blame Bruce Campbell anymore for holding a new one back - he doesn't want a different director handling him or the character which I think is totally fair.

I liked a lot of things about it but the version I played had a lot of instances where just random mobs required specific strategies, which made everything feel like a miniboss fight almost and it became kinda tiring.

I think the music is actually fantastic, the martial arts are still really cool to watch and I personally love the creature/character designs.

But yes the acting is often pretty poor (though some of the main cast really improve as time goes on) and the plots are just rarely interesting (which is why I think Green With Envy was/is so popular, it had some themes to sink your teeth into).

Even for a show aimed at a really young demographic, it's still incredibly basic development/theme wise which makes it so hard to watch these days despite a lot of cartoons from around then holding up fine.

Got bored around episode 6
There's a reason the show is like that early on... We didn't know at the time but it was basically spinning its wheels until one of the movies had a big reveal, which the show then used to great effect.

Massive spoiler so I won't say what, but after that point the show varies from good to amazing the entire way through.

The story definitely needed a bit more time to breathe. There are one or two plot elements where if you zone for even 2 seconds you've missed some pretty crucial details.

Otherwise though I thought it was a really good game. The open world isn't used very well, pretty much just very pretty scenery to traverse... the game itself doesn't offer much to do in it outside of fetch quests but thankfully those are pretty much entirely optional.

It's the kind of game that benefits from a player with a mindset of just wanting to go through the story. And maybe spend some time fishing because that was way deeper than it had to be.

I am able to enjoy both TFA and TLJ well enough, despite some personal dislikes about certain things.

TRoS however is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I left it a year since that movie's release before giving the whole trilogy a fresh watch through and I think I actually liked TRoS even less than the first time (while appreciating the first two more). It is a complete dumpster fire of a film, I am fairly certain I will never watch the movie again.

No such issue with the PT.

It'd be great for ES to finally get some competition. I loved Skyrim but it's a shame that entire style of game is practically locked to just the one dev team (and now platform). Is this game also a MS exclusive? Odd that they'd pay to compete with themselves but whatever I guess.

Anyway to answer the actual question, I wouldn't expect it to dethrone Elder Scrolls... I'm sure it'll do various things better but the reason ES is as "jank" as it is, is because of just how much it tries to incorporate... If Avowed manages to be higher quality without cutting features you'd find in ES then I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I haven't had Hibernate/Sleep work properly since like XP, maybe even before if it was even an option back then? It's always introduced issues. If it even will wake up without a crash or BSOD, I'll inexplicably find something such as my sound no longer working and have to restart anyway.

One of the things that I find most astounding about this show is just how captivating it is while remaining relatively clean. The harshest the language gets is a "shit" or "bastard" but very rarely, and there is virtually no gore. Most prestige shows can't say the same.

Might be the strongest first season of anything I've ever watched.

Green Ranger was always my fave.

Only on a personal moral basis, they'd make no money off me so from their perspective I may as well not exist.

I really hope the truth of this comes out sooner than later because I love Bayonetta and especially her voice so if the company are the ones in the wrong, I don't want to buy the game.

I guess I could just cover my bases and buy used though, they'd never know the difference.

It definitely sounded like he elongated a word or two in a way Mario often does but with so few samples it's hard to say for sure.
