Specifically subreddits for things that are disappointments, bad or otherwise letdowns for whatever reason.

Like I get it a thing is released, a game or movie or whatever, and for whatever reason you hate it, not just hate it you feel personally let down and disappointed because it didn't live up to the hype, or ruined the previous installment, or whatever. So you're upset, angry and want to vent so you go to the relevant sub and you spill all your thoughts about why the thing is shit, or wrong or whatever and you feel vindicated when people agree with you and shout down anyone who disagrees.

But then... what of these people that stay on these subs and just post near daily years later about how the thing is shit and you still hate it. I'm thinking the Cyberpunk sub here, the Last of Us 2 one too. Like what motivates someone to stay there just to slap each other on the back about how shit you still find the game, how it's awful it was allowed to happen, etc. How many years before you're over it? How many posts will be enough?

I find it all very strange.

Would I be able to just jump into Season 3 or do I have to watch it from the beginning?

You would need to read up on a few plot points that happened in the first two seasons that carry over into 3 but just watch a recap vid and you're good to go, it's mostly its own thing.

The third season is like a completely different show, different writers, most of dire original characters from the first two seasons are gone and it has everyone from the main TNG cast back. Its been great and as someone alluded to earlier, clearly written by someone who loves Trek.

Yeah, I noticed that.

At the start, when David had Troy Baker go get medicine, he said it was like a 4 mile walk back and it took him a couple hours to get back. But later, after David carries Ellie back and she regains consciousness, it cuts to his goons and they're still looking for Joel. I know 4 miles shouldn't take super long to walk, but it still felt off, even if his goons had been searching for at least a couple hours straight. And then Joel is able to tie people up, interrogate them, and limp over to David's all while Ellie's stuff is taking place.

I guess it balances out with the previous episodes going out of their way to showcase Joel and Ellie go weeks/months before reaching the next plot point

Im going to blow your mind friend. Just because a scene comes after another in a show or film, doesnt mean its occurring after the scene that came before it chronologically, it just makes more sense for the scene to come after the previous scene narratively.

Come on guys, were all adults, we dont need pointless scenes of people walking commenting man its been three hours of walkin here for us to get time has passed right?

  1. It being legal to drink alcohol outside or in public places, so long as you are not behaving in a disorderly way
  2. Electric kettles that can boil water quickly, rather than using the stove or a microwave
  3. Wait staff are paid a higher minimum wage that means you are not expected to tip them
  4. Using the metric system for all measures
  5. Sales tax is included in the price of items on store shelves, so the price displayed is the same as you pay at the checkout
  6. All areas in a town or city are accessible by sidewalks, making it easier to walk anywhere
  7. If a home has washers and/or dryers, they are kept in the kitchen or bathroom rather than a utility room
  8. Having the legal age at which someone can buy and drink alcohol set at 18
  9. The government calculating your tax and automatically deducting it from every paycheck, meaning employees don't have to fill in tax returns every year
  10. Not having gaps down the sides of toilet stall doors that mean the person inside the stall can be seen from outside
  11. Much greater use of traffic circles or roundabouts instead of traffic-light
  12. Not having prescription-drug advertisements on TV
  13. A national minimum paid-vacation allowance, on top of federal holidays
  14. Being able to easily send people money directly from your bank account to theirs using your bank's website or app, rather than using payment apps like Venmo or writing checks
  15. Smaller portion sizes at restaurants and fast-food outlets
  16. Using a bidet to clean yourself after having used the toilet

Might as well stop buying everything because they have their fingers in practically every pie in existence. You can name any publicly-traded company, and they likely have invested in it already. If it bothers you that much, maybe you ought to consider living up in the mountains and farm/forage/hunt for your own food.

No thanks, I consider it a great shame they own so much, a lot of it what I'd consider essential. Nintendo isn't essential. There are plenty of video game companies not owned in part by Saudi Arabia thankfully!

I feel like this is the 10th time I've seen this topic on CE.

And I'll say the same thing again. If this, or their connections to WWE or anything else really bother you that much I really hope you're willing to live a plastic free life. Actually not only plastic, but anything that uses petroleum based products period. Not to mention all the other ventures they have invested in. You would literally have to live a life of complete isolation in the woods to not be directly supporting any SA funded endeavor at this point. Oil and natural gas is used in so many more things/proceses/supply chains than the common pea brain can comprehend. There's a reason why they are able to toss billions around like it's money they found under the sofa. They are more global than China almost.

Yes, you've made a case for why we might have to compromise our morals when it comes to having what most humans in 2023 would consider "essentials". It's awful. However video games aren't essential, they're entertainment products you can live without, so I will judge anyone that supports Saudi Arabia's murderous homophobic agenda with willing purchases on Nintendo games and consoles tbh

What this topic is really get to the heart of is that it's easy to boycott JK Rowling products, she one very rich bigot with a platform, she's foolish and easy to dislike, and her IP has produced exactly one game that isn't total shit, so easy to cut out. However, she's not that big of deal when you look at what Nintendo is, what Sony are doing, plus the countless other massive companies we rely on daily for entertainment or convenience. They do much worse stuff than JK Rowling could ever do, ever dream to do, but they're not so easy to boycott right? So JK Rowling is useful for these people to feel better about themselves.

The absolute worst of the MCU amplified to maximum. The script is awful, the jokes dont land ever, the acting is coasting at best, the choreography is absolutely terrible and worst of all it looks awful, the CGI is a joke, one of the worst looking films ever considering the budget but where does the money go? The visuals are so, so bad.

And as typical the story has absolutely zero consequences outside of another bait and switch on setting up this vig bad only to kill him and show hes just one of many, great youre riffing on Rick and Morty years after it lost its relevance!

Not only easily the worst MCU film, one of the worst superhero films ever

Also, its really, really annoying we will never get Bill and Ellie interacting, and they cut out so much cool action to tell a love story for no reason.
