Val Kilmer is absolutely a weirder casting for Batman than Pattinson. Even Clooney is kind of more "this guy is insanely popular we'd be crazy not to put him in the suit" rather than being a good Batman.

I always felt Kilmer was a decent Batman, but a meh Bruce. Clooney was a decent Bruce but a meh Batman (because Clooney definitely had the 'rich guy swagger' down).

Plus, literally the only thing the First Amendment guarantees is that the Federal government can't stop you from saying something. It says nothing about State or local ordnances, and leaves open the possibility that you can be sued for slander or libel as well.

I have not had poppeyes in over 4 years now, I still dream about it. I wouldn't go to a KFC if there was one a block away and there is nowhere to eat within 15 miles of me.

Poppeyes spicy chicken legs are damn freaking good, the power of good indeed.

Used to get em back before covid in Tacoma and the nice people there would give me a 3rd chicken leg instead of the biscuit (Cause I don't like biscuits), was a freaking awesome deal that way. About $1 per chicken leg and the most tasty chicken ever.

It's on the list of things I really miss having since covid.

Oh yeah, first time I tried Popeye's, I got a two piece combo and asked for one regular, one spicy. The regular was what I talked about earlier (tenderest, juciest), but the spicy was pretty good as well. Mostly, what I liked was that it wasn't just spicy flavored, like some things are where literally all you taste is the spice.

I remember watching one of these in the cheap theatre, and nearly everyone in the theater was cracking up throughout the movie. These are the most unintentionally funny movies ever made, especially if you don't take them seriously.

I had no idea that a theater could have been primarily a crowd that watched the films in the so bad it's good type.

If nothing else, the films (at least the outdoor portions) are beautiful, the directors and camera operators really leaned into capturing the majesty of the Pacific Northwest. And not all of the performances are bad (Peter Facinelli as Carlisle plays it straight, and Michael Sheen as Aro is clearly having a blast being the grandiose bad guy), but Pattinson and Stewart can just be painful to watch. I think I once described Pattinson's performance as "trying to overact while still being wooden". ^_^

I've read/seen a decent amount of interviews with SM over the years, and she's always seemed pretty normal, even a little boring.

I'd never had Popeye's until last year, and I was blown away. It was the tenderest, juiciest chicken I'd ever eaten. Sides were kinda meh, but the chicken...droool.

Basically, the robber came into the restaurant and started robbing the customers at gunpoint. As he was done robbing everyone and about to flee, a customer got up and shot and killed him.

From what I've seen, some people are saying the customer should be charged with murder, because the robber was already leaving and that the gun the robber had, was a fake gun.

So. Fucking. What.

The only reason you bring any type of gun when you rob someplace/someone is to try and intimidate them by thinking you might kill them.

There was a 7-11 robbery in Cali a couple years ago, security guard walked in mid-holdup and shot the guys, one of them starts whining "It's fake, it's fake", and he just said "Oh well, mine's real." ^_^

I don't remember a 'remote choke' in ANH. He choked Motti when they were in the same room, that's the only time in that film (he physically choked the Tantive IV's captain early on, but that's different.

ESB, yes, though Ozzel was an admiral (Piett was the captain), he was on the same ship: the Executor, Vader's flagship, which is canon 11.8 miles long. Ozzel was obviously on the bridge, which is from appearances is about 1/4 of the way from the stern, so say 3 miles. Vader was in his sanctum, which one would presume is deep amidships, protected by most of the vessel's structure; for the sake of argument, let's say it was literally in the middle of the ship, so 6 miles from the stern, or three miles away from Ozzel. Even if you postulate that Vader knew exactly where Ozzel was/where to focus his power, that's still a 3 mile distance Force choke. :D

I can't speak to why he chose DC, but The Witcher Season 2 showed the writers intend to go in a different direction. Cavill doesn't want to do that and apparently wasn't being listened to, so he's leaving once his contract is up. If he just quit, he would have gotten sued for breach of contract.

Yeah, that was was part of the reason for the SAG-AFTRA voice actor strike a few years back. They were asking for bonuses tied to increased game sales (and not even that much, really, I think it would have capped out at like 8 grand if a game sold like 3 million copies) and game companies fought it tooth and nail.
