I don't know when this was done, but I feel like any study done pre-covid is invalid now.

I think it makes sense that people do treat you differently based on your appearance. But some of your personality is changed by that too.

I feel like this being in Japan is probably useful context.

Eventually people should learn not to trust things, you would think anyway. I know peoples attitude have changed towards nude a lot, in that the judgment isnt as high as it once was.

Except for 5, I do think you need to get it and try for that one. The class where the professor essentially said "Do/Use whatever you want on the exam, if you dont get it it wont matter". Average was a 42%.

It 's not about blame. It is about what is in one's control. When a guy has issues with dating, I can only say how he can improve, I can't tell all women or how society at large can improve.

I don't think anyone can reasonably against this, but I feel like a lot of advice given is either not actionable or comes from a place of explicit or implicit disdain for men. Like "toxic masculinity" implies that its wrong to be a guy right out the gate.

Now this is a trope as old as time.

The notion being that a woman just has to sit around and look pretty and wait for the men to line up to ask her for a date, whereas the man is the one who has to take initiative and be a good "provider" etc.

It's a mindset that's damaging to both sexes because it puts all the pressure on men, while robbing women of their agency. (Indeed, if a woman goes around asking for dates then she's probably a "slut", right?)

Personally I think the issue is that men have to take an active role in pursuing socialization and dating experience while women can be a lot more passive about it.

And its unfortunate, but that is just the way it is. And its what we should be giving advice on.

I forget where I found this, but some advice I've seen is that you should strive to have a new interaction with a girl every single day. Its not about flirting, its about just feeling comfortable around women. Whether its the old lady at the grocery, a random person you're stuck in line with, or a girl you run into in the hallway. The conversation should be quick. Starting out you should set a hard limit and how many lines of dialog the interaction can last , because you likely won't be good at reading situations right away. But over time you'll get better at it.

I think the MCU ran out of good ideas, and that the TV series aka "please stay subscribed to disney+" format has led to bad content.

Its fine to take days off occassionally, but try to find someone irl you can talk to. PotD is going to be a mixed bag of helpful vs indifferent vs hateful people.

And I know its the end of the day, but try to do one productive thing before its over. Clean something, schedule something. Just one small thing.
