This was in Queens, not far from the old Shea Stadium.

So, what's next?
Getting the gang from Solo back together, and letting Lord Miller actually do it this time, could be pretty decent.
What do you mean? A continuation of the Solo storyline?

I think after Andor finishes, it's time to move on from that era.

Not the greatest finale, but I enjoyed it. This was great Star Wars despite the complaints.

I'm so hyped for Jedi Survivor right now.

I really don't get why everyone always brings up Cal as a candidate for cameos.

I mean, I feel like I missed something. His game was fun, but he was about as bland, whitebread a protagonist as star wars has seen. I really don't see why him showing up would be so "hype."

Regardless, I think this is the season we lose. Also, there is absolutely no way they top S2's finale; that scene is up there with legendary television moments PERIOD, I don't think we're ever gonna see it beaten.
Cal is great and so is Monaghan imo. If anything, wishes for Cal are just to see more Jedi having survived the OT era. He's a great part of the lore.

It would be sad that he eventually died before the OT era. If not that, then he almost certainly has to show up by the new Rey movie.

This would be great actually. And it would make sense since seasons 3 and 4 were greenlit together, so they can take liberties with this season.

He's confusing tbh. Is he gonna show up here? Or Ahsoka first? Or are they gonna save him till right before the New Republic movie?

I'm pretty fucking hyped. Last episode was great. I wanna see Grogu go HAM trying to save Din.

I doubt they'll top Luke flying in, but I'm definitely curious on what they drop in for the finale.

Thrawn? Cal? Sabine? Ezra? Palpatine? More Luke? Boba saves the day?

No leak spoilers please.

"Information overload" isn't a thing. When presented with a resource with information, what people do is offload their cognitive load. They don't need to memorize a bunch of things because they can just look them up. This frees up mental effort for other, often more creative, tasks.
I get what you're saying, but this has nothing to do with an unlimited source of information, and people being unable to discern between good and bad info.

Nah. Even if we ignore the psychological aspects, the internet is largely unfiltered and most people have piss poor media literacy. All algorithms are set up to get you to click the stuff that gets you to keep clicking. People believe the wildest shit nowadays. This can include otherwise smart people.

Yeah, in a perfect world, it shouldn't be like this and I'm not even saying it's gotten really bad yet. Over time, I don't see it getting better since it's only ramped up in recent years.

I think the issue with this season is that there is obviously some type of friction going on with Kennedy and Favreau.

While these are still rumors, Favreau feels like he wants to fix the ST with his stuff. Kennedy seems to just want the gravy train going and insisted Grogu returned for 3 instead of taking it off training with Luke. Again, these are rumors and nothing confirmed.

I feel like the Mandalorian doesn't really work without Grogu. So I kinda agree with her, even if he's been mostly useless this season.

Yeah, it was pretty consistent. A Jedi had to have saved Grogu. There's absolutely no one we already know that could be involved because we've seen how fast the purge started. So some random Jedi played by Best was great.

As I've said elsewhere I would love for the era to be explored in film, but they would really be better served in adapting the comics rather than the games.

Or better yet, drawing inspiration from both, but going off and doing their own thing. There's a lot of potential in the era and I don't want something I've seen/played before.
I would love to see a movie handling the likes of Exar Kun, Nomi Sunrider, Ulic Qel Droma, Master Arca, Master Vodo-Siask Baas, the Empress Teta System, etc tbh. The KOTOR games never really resonated with me because it was all a few decades after the events of these characters. The audio dramatization for the Exar/Nomi/Ulic stores felt almost like listening to a movie.

I feel like touching KOTOR from the games is gonna cause too much controversy. Going with the stories of Exar, Nomi, and Ulic might not be a bad choice tbh.

I grew up in NYC, and even today, it's still a highly segregated place where many do end up sticking to their own race. Especially when it comes to white people. White people did the least mixing with the other minorities, especially back then.

4 of them were Long Islanders that knew each other from back home, and were living together in the Village, which is still predominantly white.

As for Bo and the Armorer, I'm getting a bad feeling about all that. Also, I'm assuming the Mandalorians that broke Gideon out are the Death Watch/Bo's crew she was talking about in the first episode. I highly doubt it would be Sabine or something.

the_rowan posted...
All the common weapons off the line that upgrades with "world level" (knight's, royal, etc.) were unbreakable in the sense that you found duplicates several times faster than you could use them up. It was pretty trivial to walk around with a full inventory of these. Just people didn't do it because having a variety of weapons you constantly cycle through is more fun, and gives you more options.

Also, there are only like, eight to fourteen weapons in BoTW. There's the one-handed sword, spear, two-handed weapon, boomerang, big boomerang, tri-boomerang (this is arguably just a boomerang with a property tweak), six different elemental rods (you could argue these all to be one weapon with different properties), and bow. Everything else is just modifiers slapped on the same weapon, like whether it's flagged as metal or wood, if it does effective damage to certain enemies, if it triggers an elemental effect on hit, different base damage and durability, etc. But the combat is completely unchanged between using the champion weapons and any other weapon of that type (with the slight asterisk of the Great Eagle Bow being the only one with more than one of the zoom, rapid shot, and multishot modifiers, since it has all three).
None of that is intriguing to me and tons of others. It basically explains the micromanagement bore.

I enjoyed the game the best when I had the fully powered Master Sword and kept it unbreakable by constantly doing the teleport glitch. Doing the glitch was annoying, but it was still the best experience I got from that, especially with the combat.

The point is, we can easily have both by just making the Master Sword completely unbreakable with no cool downs. It's not even the strongest sword even at full power.

Tyranthraxus posted...
It was during a video interview I'd have to go through it all to find it again and I can't do that right now.
Idk, if it was so famous, people would have written articles about it or it would have been discussed on forums. I couldn't find any of that, but plenty of the time Miyamoto told them they couldn't regain stamina by stabbing your sword on a mountain and standing on it.

Miyamoto didn't work on either game and famously didn't like the durability system and tried to get the team to remove it. The dev team literally had an identity crisis because even though they weren't reporting to Miyamoto it was basically like mutiny to ignore his suggestions to remove the durability. Eventually the mutineers won.
I'm not seeing anything about him "famously" not wanting that. Do you have a source?

Also the point was that "Miyamoto" is a stand-in for the people behind it. We also know he had input and influence, so it relays the same point.

I do hope they leave the Master Sword unbreakable and fully powered, even if at some later point.

The durability system was a micromanagement bore. It's fine if you liked it, but a lot didn't, and making weak as fuck arguments on why people should because you did, will likely never work.

A compromise is to allow one weapon unbreakable so people can enjoy the open world game how they want and not how Miyamoto intended. I honestly didn't have fun in the game till I beat the DLC and got the fully powered Master Sword months after I had played it. That combined with the teleport glitch made it unbreakable, but the glitch itself was slow as fuck.
