Even then, we got many of the food based Grass types in Gen 8 or 9. Applin line, Smoliv line, Capsakid line...

Prior to that, we had the Exeggcute line, maybe Seedot (and even then that's an acorn... last I checked that's squirrel food, not human food), Pumpkaboo line, and potentially all of the Mushroom mons, (except probably the Paras line, because squick) if you count them (Shroomish line, Foongus line, aforementioned Morelull line).

I GUESS Tropius could count too, with the bananas around its neck. Did I miss any others?

Anyway, it makes sense for Grass to have many potential food mons, what with fruits and veggies being a thing. Hell, I'm more surprised there aren't more, looking over the list. But it also has both quantity and time over the Fairy type. There's 125 Grass types vs 68 Fairy types, and it's been around since the beginning, while Fairy has only been from Gen 6 onwards.

But why does Fairy have as many foods as it does? What characteristic of the Fairy typing makes for this many mons based on food? It's 1:30 AM and I am asking the REAL questions!

Alcremie is a cake, and its prevo Milcery is... cream? Cake batter? Something like that, anyway.

Swirlix and Slurpuff are cotton candy, Swirlix is even classified as the Cotton Candy Pokemon. While candy isn't (or at least, shouldn't be) the first thing you think of when you think "food", I'd still consider it food even if only by a technicality.

Togepi, retconned in Gen 6 to become a Fairy type, is an egg. Though that doesn't really remain a theme in its evolutions, and I could see if you didn't wanna count this one since I THINK animal eggs are different from eggs you can eat as a food? Am I wrong? I feel like I'm wrong about that. I don't actually know...

Morelull and Shiinotic are mushrooms, though this may be cheating, especially since they give off more of a drug mushroom vibe as opposed to a culinary mushroom one (at least in my opinion)

And while this one isn't DIRECTLY food based, some of Ribombee's dex entries state that the pollen puffs it makes can be eaten as snacks or supplements.

Depending on how you look at it, that's 3 to 6 lines of Pokemon that are food based AND ALSO given the Fairy typing. If you count all 6 of those, then that's enough for a full mono-Fairy food-themed team, without any members sharing an evolution line! Even if you only count the first 3 lines, each has 2 members, so that's STILL enough for a full team (albeit not a very good one, as 3 members are not fully evolved).

I just realized all of this a little while ago and thought to myself "That's very weird". Both that it exists and that I'd think of it.

This one was for some old thread on /vp/, back when I posted there. Someone posted a Wooper with no face, and people were tasked with giving him one. The results were incredible. I think there was a Pickle Rick one in there? Anyway, this was my contribution to the thread.

The face in question is from Henry Stickmin, specifically Stealing the Diamond. It's the face he makes when he breaks into the museum, grabs a gun from one of the displays, and attempts to use it, only to realize it has no ammo.

damn, up to 16 hours? My record is 17 but that was after a physically exhausting day, AFTER having only gotten like, an hour of sleep the night before!

I WISH I could hit 16 on a consistent basis.

I started playing 1 after I lost Lan's giveaway topic shit's rigged I'm telling you and liked it but got frustrated with it. I've heard 1 is very much early-game syndrome though. Made it right up past the waterworks dungeon before taking a break.

Decided to buy the collection with what little money I have left because I am the MASTER of poor life decisions. Do not regret it one bit. I wound up playing through 1 again first and foremost, and I decided to use the MAX Buster mode, though only until I got to the point in the game where I was at before. Now that I'm there and past it, I've swapped back to regular gameplay.

I'm really liking it, though the SkullMan fight was painful, horrendous, and took me like, 7 tries, especially since I was trying to get used to not using the MAX Buster again. I'm guessing this will be a trend for the bosses from this point on.

All that said, I want to convince people to buy this collection? What will it take?
I'll jack in to your squirrel if that's what it takes.

I can't think of a time, but probably happened once or twice.

I'd like to at some point. Whether I'll actually be able to in the next year or so is another story, however.

I started playing 1 recently. I like it, but god DAMN is it occasionally painful to play. I'm just past the part where you have to resolve the water shortage.

I've heard 1 is VERY much a case of "early installment syndrome", so if I ever get the collection maybe I'll start with 2, work my way through the series, and eventually replay 1 if there are achievements tied to it.
