38 minute download, but save intact!

...Not that it did me much good. Did three or four non-story missions, and... I remember watching some playthrough earlier this year and thinking I could do better... yeah, no, I suck. I didn't fail any, but there came a point where I had more injuries than healthy teammates. This is touuuugh.

I did kind of the opposite where I played 1, took a break for almost a year and then played 2 and 3 back to back. I think that playing 3 closer to crossbell is probably the better way to do it though

I rather like the delayed approach with 3rd. Non-spoilery, but there's a kind of Kingdom Hearts-ish feel to unlocking your party and going through chapters, like if you're a Disney fan you know the places and people when you see them, but they both come in kind of randomly/unexpectedly, and the worlds are filled with strange monsters, and it can be a strange trip. Plus, lots of extras you can unlock the doors of.

There's also an element of passed time, so waiting a while and coming back will get you in a similar headspace as the characters themselves.

Got cut from work early and bought time at a pc arcade near my house, and scratched some of the itch ive had since brginning of year. Got through a few missions and I am just in love with it. I need to play more.

I should use this is as an impetus to finally get a new computer so i can play it at home. A thirty minute install every time and no guarantee yet that saves stick around.

I can at least play TF2 without lag with the rest of my time if it doesnt work out :/

I'm pretty sure the ZFG math should work out. 5 Region Checkpoints, 5 Guild Branches, Grancel Castle, Leiston Fortress, Arseille, Haken Gate, uh... the Calvard Border place in Zeiss whose name I forget gets you to 15. Last one for the party I assume. If it's not that then idk I'd have to re-read the dialogue which I won't be doing lol.

I'd assume one leftover for each team in case one breaks or there's an unexpected emergent need.

What? I absolutely loved the adventures of Uncle Piccolo, the alternate history used to recruit the Doctor, Piccolo & Pan scenes, the Goku/Vegeta ancillary stuff, and the two androids.

I will agree that the Cell Max and final fight stuff aren't that great, but I will take wholesome Dragonball adventure any time I can get it!

There was a vampire Storm storyline back in the eighties with Dracula, and the first vampire interaction the X-Men had. Bloodstorm was a great character in the ill-fated Mutant X, an upside-down bad end world where the main team was full of What Ifs (Iceman never got cured of Loki's power tampering, Beast's transformation was much more profound with a lot less brains, Angel was even more of a demon after Apocalypse's manipulations, Maddy Pryor embraced being the Goblyn Queen, and Scott/Cyclops died but Alex/Havok lived). We even had a Bloodstorm show up when the O5 were in the present as Cyclops... girlfriend? for a while before she was unceremoniously killed off at the beginning of some dumb event. And I'm almost certain she showed up in an Exiles issue or two.

I always think I look forward to Grancel during FC because so much plot happens. But then it's the first day or Arena. Then sewers. Then more Arena. Then seeing more guards on patrol. More sewers. More Arena. Most guards. Such a pace killer after Zeiss.

1. Because it's not Pokemon World, Johto, Viridian City, Master Quest, or Unbeatable which are much more likely and warranted.

2. How do you get Together Forever by someone other than Rick Astley stuck in your head? That seems like an impossibility.

It was a nice hit of nostalgia and a decent enough Power Rangers plot, but it definitely had some deficiencies.

WARNING SPOILERS

Pros:
+ The ranger suits look amazing
+ Use of Trini and long overdue dedication to her
+ Minh Kwan has a decent story
+ Walter Jones remains incredible
+ Alpha 9 is perfect
+ The way they remove the rangers who aren't there feels like classic Power Rangers, part Terror Toad and part Peace Conference
+ A lampshade on Billy & Aquitar towards the end
+ The billboard
+ Down the road
+ Barbara Goodson

Nitpicks:
. The acting for Minh Kwan. I don't blame the actress; it's clearly the same sort of direction current casts get. I was getting huge Beast Morphers flashbacks from the way she had to emote. Great fight scenes.
. Budget. It makes sense that this passion project doesn't have much money. The huge lack of extras, limited cast, empty sound stages, CGI that came from a PC game that runs on Windows 95 (yet still looked better than the first movie!), and music rights. There was an emptiness to it all, especially in the graveyard and command center. Not a negative because it's the budget.

Cons:
- David Yost's acting. I don't know if it's past trauma, old age, pain, heavy amounts of botox, or medication, but he was an absolute mannequin the entire time that was super distracting as a main lead. Jones, Sutherland, and Cardenas were actual people with expressive faces. I feel like I'm bashing but I also feel like... hmm. Like, anxiety and vanity sent him to go plastic before the shoot because he seemed mostly natural from some con vids I saw a few years back so this is definitely a recent choice. I love Billy and he is one of my favorite rangers, and Yost is a wonderful human being, but there was something so stressful and upsetting about his whole being here that I can't not mention it.
- The CGI Megazord battle. I get it. You want to include it. And the CGI summoning of the zords was actually really good, but I think setting it on the moon to try and hide its flaws made it look worse than it actually was due to the lighting.
- The Command Center set. It was just too empty. Why did it need to be so wide? Why was the room so empty. It had two consoles, Zordon's tube, a viewing globe, and an endless expanse of blue. Absolutely terrible set.

I enjoyed it well enough and got nice hits of nostalgia. I'll definitely watch it again and just wish for it to have at least a few extra thousands in budgetting, if not hundreds of thousands. The effort was there and I'd love to see a sequel.p

Right? First wife, and only actual 'completion' of the game was with Maria, but Elli and Karen were my big crushes. First time I came to GameFAQs was looking up HM64 secrets, and first core crush memories with of Elli and Karen. Anyone before that? Nothing is registering for NES, GB, Genesis, or arcade, and minimal for SNES. First time I had zero clue on any of the categories, mostly because I knew almost zero of the songs.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I don't remember my first playthrough at all, but I do remember looking up guides on Water Temple and Shadow Temple in later playthroughs, discounting ancillary bits like Hyrule Field poe hunting and skulltula locations.

I kill it before it attacks (its very weak to arts) and it gives me a f***ton of xp, and a Laundry Pole +. what the hell. does it one shot the entire party if you let it, or something?

Sasa Pandas are psuedo-Poms. They're difficult to find, they sponge damage more than other enemies in their area, they like to take turns quickly and run away easily, and have a really good drop if you can take them out.

Crossbell note:
As silly as 3rd could get with its drop lists, I much prefer the surprise in a small chance finding a cool new weapon than the generic bucket of bland U-Materials.

And if you're wondering who Sting is, well, he's generic tertiary bracer from Bose who kind of looks like Kurt in FC and has purplish hair in SC and literally does nothing of note except confuse me and my spreadsheet.

This was about the Alba scene reaction, in particular. It absolutely devastated me the first time, and even when you know it's coming, there really isn't anything he does that gives his game away.

IIRC, there's a few things that get set-up for the reveal that you really only notice on a replay (spoilers, in case, but should be good just for FC):
- About every other time you meet/escort Alba, there will be a moment where Josh has a '...' face or moment. It's hard to describe, but there's a definite extra feeling of gravity to it than the initial "Josh is just feeling out this quirky professor"
- Alba was the one who escorted Estelle and Joshua into the capital. "Aw, he's helping us out and doing museum stuff!" Yeah, and Zin has no clue about what Estelle & Joshua have been up to in the city and wasn't sent by Cassius to help out. Alba was totallly innocent.
- The biggest foreshadow comes from Kurt, the green-haired bracer, depending on if you explore and talk to people. He's in the stands of the arena ready for our fight (not sure which day, presumably finals) and he's got a headache, realizing later that night the last time he had that headache was when he passed Cassius the box with the black orbment. Why did he suddenly remember these things? Plot convenience? To give Estelle and Joshua a huge loredump? I mean, yes, but why then?

Alba also was in the stands.

FC was so good. I just played it this fall, and already want to play it again, lol.
