If someone is liberal in all aspects of society/culture except one, are they liberal?

1. Liberalism is not above being susceptible to bigotry. How many white liberals harbor racist tendencies, how many non-Jewish liberals use antisemitic phrases in casual conversation, how many straight liberals didnt support gay marriage? How many liberal men still engage in casual misogyny in their work and personal lives? Bigotry must be called out and anti-trans bigotry is no different, no matter how liberal a bigoted person might see themselves as being.
2. Is she even really all that liberal? She wrote a book series where: slavery is okaya good thing even, because the slaves actually like it, honestly; the most prominent Asian character is named Cho Chang; some races (like the greedy hook-nosed ones who control all the banks) are just bad and cant really be trusted, and thats okay; lycanthropy, an intentional metaphor for people with HIV/AIDS, is represented by one single good and noble character, while the rest of the group are depicted as disgusting sickos who get off on intentionally infecting new people and all join the bad side in the big war
3. As others have correctly pointed out, she has chosen to make this particular issue a sticking point, around which she has devoted almost the entirety of her public persona. Scrolling back through her Twitter feed for the month of April, out of 37 tweets, replies, and retweets she posted, 17 were about the trans issue, 17 were replies to fans on a post about the 10th anniversary of one of her books, one was about her husband and feminism in general, one was about the treatment of women in Iran, and one was about the first African woman to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. So when you accuse the left of breaking with her because of one issue, when we have (arguably) other areas where we might find common ground, keep in mind it is Rowling who is the one who never seems to be interested in talking about the issues where common ground might be found. She may agree with the left on 99% of issues but she seems quite determined to spend 95% of her time talking about that other 1%.
