Their last 5 games that isn't Octopath Traveler 2 received very little to no marketing.

Anyone who paid attention LGBT people trying to get people to boycott Chik-Fil-A nearly a decade ago for their anti-gay donations and saw how that turned out. I was one of those who naively thought people could eat somewhere else but nope. Personally, I still haven't eaten there and won't but I don't expect allies to not eat there.

It was basically going to happen for this game. If people won't boycott Chik-Fil-A, in what part of their mind did these people think the majority will boycott this video game?

Not really a villain but I always liked the episodes Shirley the Medium were in.

Compared to past games, it's a disappointment.

Don't bother getting all the boxes or gems if you value your time and sanity. The levels are LONG and near impossible to backtrack. Plus, hidden and not in the "oh its right there" hidden, it's the "why the hell would this even be in here?" kind of hidden.

The game is good for 1 playthrough and not touch again due to how much the game just hates the player.

Chappelle really can't grasp the fact humor changes over time and it's a comedian's job to adapt.

I haven't watched all the videos, but correct me if I'm wrong--i don't think we know how much she was offered. She is more widely known though, so he should have gotten more.

It's possible that Taylor has a weird history with Platinum. Maybe they didn't like her personality or demands while recording or she was asking a lot more for Bayonetta, and they low balled her on purpose to not accept the offer.

But there's a history of voice actors in anime and games being paid peanuts too, so I do believe her when she said she was offered that much.

I do feel it's really bizzare to ask for a boycott to game and franchise because they low balled you--and you rejected the offer and had no work/involvement in the 3rd game. And she did of course plan this right before the release. It feels like a disservice to everyone else that worked on the game.

This whole situation brings up so many questions. We don't know what happened behind the scenes. She might have said or done something on Twitter in the past to hurt her image too. Who knows.

Pretty much my take on it. I don't believe she's lying but there are many factors here that aren't adding up.

I feel she's leaving out key pieces of information here.

If they care about economics they have a weird way of showing it as the economic policies implemented by said dictators brought unintentional ruin at best and deliberate genocide at worst.

The Russia/Ukraine war definitely exposed "anti-war" people.
