Those systems had first party support, to the point where the Wii U had a better 2017 in its dying year with BOTW than MS cancelling the only game thier system would have. To this day Microsoft hasnt managed to actually manage a first party stream of games. They buy devs and hope for the best, they might just now be about to fix that, but for now, theyre in the doghouse. They bought Rare and failed to capitalize on them until they created Sea of Thieves, but that doesn't make up for the failure of literaly hiring Hideki Kamiya to make you an exclusive and you fail at THAT! Next year is the first time in a Decade MS will have put any level of effort into curating their own games, and by "any level of effort" i mean "buying Bethesda so Starfield can compete", and even that isn't likely to move the needle when its competition is Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy. --- There's only one way to end this! I'm unable to work or relax at my home due to my cat's obsession with it, blocking the view and/or pawing at it. Whenever he does, i've done something. Sprayed him with water, made PSST noises, put up cat spikes, tried two brands of cat repellent and a thing of compressed air that goes off if he is nearby. These will deter him for a few seconds, but not for long. He will be back before i've had a literal goddamn chance to sit down and have a single bite to eat. I don't like putting him into time outs, but it's the only effective method i've encountered that works. IS there anything more effective for the both of us?
