And they're right, unfortunately. I switched to an electric one like a year-ish ago, and holy shit is it so much better. Plus I can listen to music with my standard headphones instead of the "complete deafness" noise cancelling ones I wear.

To be fair since the MCU age of movies and streamers becoming stars, celebrities drop in and out of popularity and relevancy every few weeks.

Just another case of someone with the "they don't make em like they used to" bias. Everyone wants to believe their generation was the best in some regard.

No reason for sympathy, the movement kind of outlived it's purpose, which was people being forced to work menial jobs when it could mean themselves and others dying during lockdown.

Now it's an issue that people have come to define themselves through the work they do, and forgotten other aspects of life, which leads to an incredibly toxic mindset. Mind it's not bad to do that if your work is your passion as well, a lot of people think that has to be how it is. Work is a means to an end for most, it doesn't have to be fulfilling. That's what the rest of life is for.

I'm just not playing it because I never understood the love for Harry Potter personally, even as a kid. It's some generic ass low effort fantasy stuff, not bad but nothing worthy of note.

I had no idea l4d2 had a boycott.

People were absolutely raging that Valve was moving from L4D to L4D2 so quickly, saying they were going to become one of those "release a game every year" companies to keep series going, cheap cash ins, people calling the character cast a bunch of racist stereotypes. It was pretty brutal for a bit right after it was announced. I think some of the boycott groups are even still up on Steam lol.

Oddly enough people would probably lose their absolute shit in a good way if Valve released a game on back-to-back years.

Some day people will understand that video game boycotts don't work, no matter how noble the cause, unless the game is trash. Even then it probably won't work because buzz can carry the first week.

L4D2 started that modern trend, had a huge boycott movement, and on launch day damn near everyone involved had the game because people have basically no impulse control with video games lol. You get people thinking about it, they buy it. That simple.

As someone who is usually moderate/"in the middle", people who either don't understand, or don't care enough to take a stance on something are super frustrating. A lot of people just use it as an excuse to be a dick while hiding behind "devils advocate" arguments

This is usually the case. Even if it winds up being someone's pet, you'll get in less trouble for killing it than trap and release elsewhere. When a wild animal is behaving abnormally it's usually best to put it down, as it's likely suffering from some form of disease(rabies, distemper, a lot of other shit too), too much exposure to humans which can lead to an attack eventually, or has been displaced enough to confuse it.

Doesn't feel great but it's likely the better, safer, and more merciful route to put it down.

To clarify on my point again as maybe enlaborate some on the WWE part: The WWE has, surprisingly, been one of the more tame/safe wrestling federations for a long while, even while this was going on--they were more about show them gladiatorial combat. That's not to say they are safe, but...a safer option essentially. Wrestlers in general are poorly taken care of until very recent times.

NJPW and ECW especially at the time could put their talents through hell, and a lot of the time the talents would "just deal with it" in the healthy manor of painkillers, booze, and steroids to keep up to snuff.

Actually I know NJPW was extreme in it's past but I've no idea about this exact time frame if I'm being honest, so feel more than free to correct me.
