You need to do something different than normal. When I get in a rut it just means I'm not in love with my current routine. Do all the chores in your house/apartment. Whatever you think "I'd rather be doing" while doing chores - that's what you should do when you finish.

It took a long time but I think I get the basic principles and play at an intermediate level now. I'm by no means an expert.

It's an interesting game. Like trying to construct 4 good poker hands at simultaneously.

I've not tried to memorize all the various "special hands" though. Like lots of different types of ways to get its version of a Royal Flush.

I've came close to the 13 orphans hand a time or two but never got it.

Realize that the same section of the Bible that describes homosexuality as a sin also says that eating shellfish is a sin, or wearing mixed fiber cloth.

They refuse to take the Bible as word-for-word truth as-is because it just doesn't make any damn sense and science has disproven most of it.

But then they choose certain parts of it to take matter of factly as-is and ignore other pieces just sentences away.

Probably not. There's nothing you COULD do. At best you've only diminished the quality of your own moment-to-moment existence by pondering things that you can never demonstrably prove one way or another.

In other words - a complete waste of time. Not even useful as a thought experiment. You're just (on a lower sub-conscious level) hoping to prove to the world that something you hold a belief in defies everyone else so that you can think "I was right, and they were wrong".

But the truth is that what you see is what you get. The world is much simpler and plainer than you think. There is no secret organization and there is no world beneath the world. And if there is you could never prove it either way. So why waste your seconds on earth fretting about it.

Who knows man. I expect a Switch 2 (or whatever) announcement in October with a March 2024 release window.

At my current job I mostly create C# MVC Web apps for the company Intranet and do some modifications to INFOR SyteLine. Most of the projects are only used by a few people and development is a few days or a couple of weeks. So they don't even need or get unit tests.

But we have done some engineering math WPF desktop apps that generate important data that required unit tests. But those didn't really have a UI to speak of. Just a "Phase 1", "Phase 2" buttons for doing data stuff.

Doing C#, IIS, SQL backend stuff.
