My first instinct was ghost, but then I realized it'd probably be one of those that have powers such as being able to manipulate physical objects. Obviously it depends on its specific power level, but I wouldn't risk it.

The aliens may have access to powerful technology, so again, not gonna risk it. Zombie horde could get really dicey if they're fast. Technically, it doesn't say you have to fight alone, but the risk of being outnumbered or that they sneak on you is too high.

Bigfoot sounds like the equivalent of fighting a grizzly bear? I think I could take on it if I have access to long-range weapons, and it'd for sure be immobilized easily enough with explosives and the like. Being such a big target might be helpful too. I doubt it'd be too smart or fast, and you could be more strategic by luring it into traps. I wouldn't take on a yeti, though. Snowy terrain is a big disadvantage.

I'm most disappointed Ice Merchants didn't win for Best Animated Short. That one was something truly special.

I can understand Luke at the top even though I'm not an Abyss fan, but my opinion of Yuri has gone down over the years. At the time he was special because there were basically zero JRPG protagonists with his level of maturity, but I think the genre has evolved somewhat since then. Doesn't help that his character arc feels unfinished.

It really is a shame. They had such a good thing going with the vigilante approach dilemma and they just dropped that and the rest of Yuri's complexities completely in the second half.

Aftersun robbed from Best Picture, not that I ever thought it would happen. My favorite of the year (so far, but I can't see it changing). I suppose I should be thankful that Paul Mescal is there to rep for it.

I was rooting for The Quiet Girl for International, but unfortunately that's another pipedream now. Fantastic movie, and I just love to see the Irish language thrive.

having obviously not played the game, I don't know if the criticism of the main character being a reluctant hero or whiny about their predicament is really a negative? I like the angle of an isekai where the person is tossed into a situation they clearly want nothing to do with and merely want to return home. reminds me of how Twelve Kingdoms handled it, with Yoko having a full-on breakdown and it taking several episodes for her to accept her role within the new universe she's in and come to her own.

tbh my main beef here is that it constantly attempts to be super meta without jokes to back up the commentary, as if being meta was a punchline in itself. it feels up its own ass to a highly unlikable degree.

kinda what's happening to a lot of youtube channels, really. it's been on an upward trend for at least a couple years. I don't know if it's due to ads or total watchtime factoring into the way the algorithm makes recommendations, but most of the time, you know some extra editing to the scripts could be done and improve the finished product.

Feliz Navidad always felt very grating to me, but I honestly like most Christmas music in controlled doses, lol. Especially the more solemn religious tunes, which tend to be very pretty. Or just hearing some artists' take on Christmas music can be pretty fun.

I like the instant convenience of a printer but I've just been using FedEx's service where you just send the document and print it when you get to the shop. Super easy and convenient.

A lot of people expected Digimon Tactics, but the game's focus is mostly on the visual novel aspects. The SRPG sections tend to be criticized for being fairly underdeveloped as a result, and that negative conversation sort of took center stage. The rest of the game has been praised and well-received from what I've been able to see.

I had been waiting for the game to go on sale and finally went for it over Black Friday when it was available for less than $20. Very excited to finally play it.

I'd think there's considerably less pressure in voice acting Peach than Mario or Luigi, whose voices are so distinctive and established. Peach not being a damsel in distress was never in doubt considering she's the only major female character.

Mario being a fish out of water character is still a pretty bizarre choice to me. I remain skeptical because I'll never trust Illumination, but no matter what, it seems clear this won't be a complete disaster. Probably just a cute movie following safe story beats, and that's okay.

I mean, most of what I've heard about these games is that they're super fun but are lacking from a technical standpoint. Personally, I'm not too bothered by some (frequently funny) visual glitches to the point I'd give up on the game completely. It's definitely a shame it came out so half-baked, but it's far from unplayable from what I've heard? Correct me if wrong.

More reasons this is the worst case in the series. It sucks AND it drags on for forever. Imagine if you could somehow factor the amount of times you have to watch The Video as well. 4-4 barely edges it out once you include 4-0, too, which is beyond ridiculous for such a stupid case.

Honestly, I think it's perfect for what this game was and what it wanted to achieve. There's more complex stories with intricate world building and the like, but any more granularity would've negatively impacted the game, in my opinion. The narrative is told very well through the game.

pretty sure it's more a case of relapse coming out in a time when he was still expected to put out good music and was riding the goodwill of his older material. encore was the first big disappointment, and then he took a 5-year break and the end result was relapse, which made it especially infamous.

eminem barely qualifies for this topic since there's at least 5 garbage albums that could take the title as his worst depending on who you ask and none of those answers would be considered hot takes.

I thought Eminem's indisputable and almost universally agreed worst was Revival? Granted, that already came after a string of bad releases, so it's not precisely a sudden dip in quality, but perhaps the fact it makes everything else look tame in comparison and that he never again released anything worth attempting to defend sort of fits the bill here.

Maleficent was complete character assassination. The original Sleeping Beauty is one of the most gorgeous animated films ever, which alone makes it far better to watch.

Peach will be kidnapped, but this will only be to kick things off. Peach will do some girl power stuff (the recurring joke is she's a princess in a pink dress being badass) and the Mario crew will end up joining forces with Bowser to take down a real Big Bad who will bring forth the end of the world if they aren't stopped.

I played it earlier this year on my PS5 thanks to the free upgrade, and the game looked absolutely gorgeous. I can't imagine it'll be worth to buy the remaster over the (now much cheaper) original. Maybe they will fix that weird uncanny valley thing they had going on with the animations when you talk to people, which was already much improved in the Frozen Wilds DLC.
