What are they doing?

You scuttle closer. They are standing in some open space. You get as close as you can and watch their hands intently.

C

D20 = 9 + 2 = 11.

You see some sort of pouch or a cloth or a wallet change hands. And a shining object, about four inches long. Broad nose pockets them both.

What do you do?

A) Follow Haraldr and Minsk
B) Follow broad nose.
C) Mug broad nose when he's alone.
D) Pickpocket broad nose.
E) Other.

"Well, that's too rich for me."

You stand up with a dramatic sigh and gather what remains of your money and put it in your backpack. Seventeen gold. "Haraldr, good game, Minsk, good game, you with the broad nose, well done." You slam two gold on the bar with a nifty gesture -- it's important they think this doesn't bother you too much. "Keep the change, Nirra," you wink at the Tabaxi barkeep.

Once outside you stroll into an alley and then circle back -- you change your clothes completely, shoes and all and pull up your hood. After a few minutes of nervous waiting in the evening chill the dwarves emerge and go on their way.

Alright. This is what I do best.

Roll D20: 15 + 7 = 22

Trailing a few tipsy dwarves feels like the easiest thing in the world. Do dwarves get tipsy? It's not like they can tip over, their center of gravity is low as ****. Sloshy. It's my new word.

After a sloshing hundred yards or so, passing the Mottled Market, the dwarves seem to stop for their goodbyes. Seems like the one with the broad nose is heading west, while Haraldr and Minsk continue on. It seems like they are exchanging something.

What do you do?

A) Continue to follow the two.
B) Follow broad nose.
C) Go in for a closer look to see what they are exchanging. (perception check)
D) Climb the rooftops and follow that way because it's cool.
E) Other

A warm and cozy in. Laughter oozes through you from your compatriots at the table. And it makes you sick. Their laughter is sickening to you. The barkeep looks at you with side-eye. Are you gonna be able to pay the tab you've run up?

It looked so cute, The Bent Halberd in. It had a sign with a bent halberd and everything. And light and drink. What more could a rogue want on his first night in the big, unfamiliar city? His coin, that's what. Right now it's sitting all the way over there on the other side of the table with these dwarves.

What do you do?

A) Try and win it back fair and square.
B) Grab the money and run.
C) Stand up and leave it behind.
D) Leave and follow the dwarves. Maybe you can break into their homes.
E) Other.

Two votes for the same answer wins. If you don't select E you're no fun at parties.

Long time no see, Chris. When I remember you I remember a brave fella. Didn't matter how hard it got, was always up for fighting the good fight. That's why I don't worry -- win, lose or draw, you have that spirit.

God speed, friend.
