People seem to not understand that this isn't another botw, it's a new game, that apparently plays pretty differently from breath of the wild.

I don't care about anything pertaining to the fusing of weapons or building of vehicles. If I'd want to do that, there's Minecraft.

Ugh they are spending way too much time on mechanics that I don't care about. I don't want to build things, I want dungeons, WW/TP's sword moves, and traditional dungeons in the BotW engine.

It has no actual fan so it's not going to be great for like gaming or video rendering
but day to day browsing office etc it'll be good for like 5-8 years depending on how well you take care of it

1. No Mac is ever going to do well with gaming largely due to lack of software support from Apple in macOS (no more OpenGL + Apple's native dev tools for gaming are trash)
2. Video rendering on the M1 and M2 is great, regardless of a fan's presence. Source: I have one.

The M1 and M2 are unreal in terms of power for the price. It's a pleasant surprise to see them not be terribly expensive.

That being said, don't buy an M1 Air for $800 in 2023. M2? Yeah go for it, but the M1 is a few years old and that price point is pushing it considering the age (yes I know I'm now arguing against myself). You can get them at Costco for a few hundred bucks less anyway + get a much better warranty.

I don't think I'd financially be able to do it well, and wouldn't want to give a kid a sub-par experience. So for the moment, and likely for the foreseeable future, not super interested.

I hate that I can tell from the artstyle that Spongebob clip is from the post 2005 era. where they went digital and stopped hand drawing it.

I'll do you one better: In the very early seasons of Spongebob (1999-2002?) there was an even older art style that looked a lot better/more organic. At some point in the early 2000s (prior to the "digital" era?), they shifted to a more plastic/clean style.

Miyamoto isn't interested in doing it right. He'd rather make these wack ass "innovative" iterations that require 3 arms to play like Zero did.

That's why I went full size ATX in my latest build. No more f'ing around with teeny weenie cases. Previous build wrote itself into a corner due to being medium-sized. My GPU blocked half the ports on the board.
