Well, at this point, you can play the original or not, but RE2 Remake is a phenomenal game on it's own! RE3 (as stated above) was farmed out and wasn't completely bad, but pretty garbage compared the the 2 remake. It used to be a thing, but modern computers no longer need it. 20 years ago, I'd have to defragment mine about every month or so and, yeah,...it would take about 4-5 hours.
