To be fair, some don't mine the "watering" down either. Sometimes it's on purpose. Too sugary or some such.
I've heard, as a Canadian myself, that it's a pretty American thing to ask for lots of ice.

Lots of ice of course helps all the ice stay colder longer, thus negating watering down. But then you get less drink volume.

I don't get people who want ice in their drinks when the drinks are already cold and you end up getting less drink as well.

While I agree, & order no ice, the ice will keep a drink colder longer... + I think fountain sodas are meant to taste best on ice.
At home, I always use ice because of course the can/bottle is infinite.

At movie theatres, I put in enough ice, because I don't want a washroom interruption & save my drink for 90mins+ into the viewing. I know that's insane, but paying $14 for a viewing only to have to piss can f off. I don't want warm vanilla coke either when the time's right either.

Good riddance.

MLS' goal is to be on par with the SPL. At least the league has unofficially etched itself as the 5th in a Big 5 NA sports league. Local support is quite legit. Still, a long ways to go for national/casual support... a long ways. Old Messi isn't a thing for ppl watching other Big 4 superstars in their primes... & many for a lot less money.

I'm not certain a full Russian Federation collapse would be very good for anyone.
It's Putin & his close knit cronies who are the cancer, not the nation at large who's at fault.

Anyways, we'd be where, headed for an expanded EU to the Urals within a century perhaps, & Chinese portal to the Arctic Circle. Then again, I won't likely live to see 2060, so you kids do what you wish.

Putin is why keeping the nuclear reactors on target standby, rather than launch something, he'd just make Ukraine inhabitable from within.
Not sure what the response to that one would be, though thankfully that seems to have simmered these past few months.

Say Russia nuked Ukraine just once.

Tactical nuke? Word has been that NATO would use conventional weaponry to erase all of Russia's Black Sea fleet. Pretty easy sell that, there's no civilian populations asea.

Question I asked last year - if even a tactical nuke were used, does the modern world pause? I.E. does everyone go home from work/school, until things are normalized? I don't think we're clear on the ramifications of tactical nuclear warfare on society at large.

College moots this entirety. The professor is wrong, this isn't elementary school, jr. high, or even high school.
Post-secondary education = adults, even if they are young 18-22yr olds.

Still... yeah, technically it's inappropriate if the girl thinks gawks aren't incoming... to wit, now millions have seen her.

What's interesting is if the student in question weren't a hottie - maybe a large body type with a bikini rocking to class, then the female prof. might've even gone harder at her as if the no-one-really-wants-to-see-it factor upped.

re. the minefields, I'd read the Russians laid them out scattered en masse without much strategy.

The latest endgame I'd read as well - Ukraine takes the southeast 'land bridge' to Crimea & all but cuts Russia off. If the war persisted, maybe Zelenskyy cannot look bad 'punishing' all the Russian civilians residing there - thereby perhaps Crimea ends up an officially neutralized locale, overseen by U.N. peacekeepers.
I do suppose nothing truly makes for fact - hard to predict the future when the present keeps altering.

To each their own, barely anyone I know would agree she needed, let alone deserved, more screen time. The films were Harry-Hermione-Ron centric, & believe it or not, romance angles need not be focal. Never in the books did I feel like Ginny was on Harry's mind much, why should the films be any different.
I'll admit that her juvenile characterization in the early films probably stunted believability for me about their romance to come. It's a bit weird frankly that cinematic Harry gravitated to her. He had more chemistry with Luna, & even that just showed he was a born bachelor, more concerned about survival & keeping ppl close to him from harm's way.

It was about BL's branding.

Which is hilarious because all Bud Light's success over the decades has been because of its branding - we all know it's just Budweiser Water inside.

I was listening to a movie review pod recently, Gen Z hosts. During Indiana Jones chatter, they went off on why WWII is so oversaturated in film/pop culture.
I was taken aback, & yet they were born after 9/11, & WWII ended in 1945. The runway from that can't possibly go on forever, & if it's starting to peter out, I guess that's that.

It's not if they exist, it's when.

The odds of intelligent life in the universe at one time or another beyond Earth must be 99.9% certainty... yet, the odds of them co-existing in time & space with us can be far less probable, even possibly so low that it excites no one.

Humanity is minutely, hilariously, short time span in the history of the known universe. We are practically nil in that timeline. The chances of us co-existing at the same evolution rate as E.T.'s elsewhere along the billions & billions & billions of years is the question... not if they are real, but when they were/are.
