Never had a need to drive in NYC since public transportation got me everywhere I wanted to be. NJ Transit buses to Port Aiuthority, MTA, or walking. Every time I see cars trying to park in Manhattan I would never be able to do that, they're inches from other cars or people. Queens or Brooklyn, yeah I'd probably drive there to visit family.

Yeah sometimes see some really nice cars in NYC, like lambos. But why? It would get all beat up

I'm not against it on principle.

But it would be a huge amount of resources spent on producing a novelty. Meanwhile, the list of creatures going extinct increases year on year.

It may even weaken efforts to save species if people start thinking, 'oh, we'll just bring them back later'.

which would you choose? and for this topic only ones that have become extinct within the last 400 years or so. So they very modern humans would have to had seen them. Iirc some famous ones are the thylacine, the dodo bird, the passenger pigeon. Especially for the passenger pigeon , it was like the most common bird in north america like 200 yrs ago. Over 3 billion of them

It's kind of a weird statistic. Yeah it's at 80% but only about 50% say they believe without a doubt it's true. The rest believe in the possibility, which isn't exactly a belief in God, its a maybe there is one, maybe there isn't. The rest say there is no God and no possibility, about 20%

oh that's interesting, and a good pt. as well. Most articles don't mention the percent who believe it without a doubt...etc...

There's a difference between believing in God/some higher power, and being part of an organized religious group. Organized religion has dropped significantly in popularity, but that doesn't necessarily mean atheism has seen a large spike in popularity gain.
