in Chrono Trigger, there is Robo, who uses "magic" that consists of laser and bomb type attacks, but reading about it the game specifically says he can't learn magic and those attacks don't count.

in Secret of Mana there are Kilroy and Kettle Kin, and while they don't have much magic, they can cast Lunar Boost (Kilroy) and Lucid Barrier (Kettle Kin).

I think there are probably too many examples in Final Fantasy to list. A huge part of the premise of FF6 is magic-infused machinery, and I'm pretty sure that includes some robots (Guardian is one example).

Earthbound actually had a tourism theme of sorts where you're visiting a wide variety of locations, including (fictional) landmarks and taking photos.

Deus Ex had a bit of that vibe too, visiting New York, Hong Kong, and Paris, though it didn't really let the player explore all that much. (You are restricted to a very enclosed area.)

Fallout 3 lets you visit many of the DC landmarks though I'm not sure how accurate the whole layout is.

IIRC Pilotwings 64 let you explore a miniature USA with many visitable landmarks.

There's also a game I never played that Accursed Farms reviewed called Arcade America where you go on a road-trip throughout the USA visiting various interesting places.

Another game I know from Accursed Farms is The Crew (and its sequels) that has a complete map of USA (excl. Alaska/Hawaii) and you can drive anywhere you want to.

I've given rides to (mildly) drunk girls before. never really thought they were "hot", if anything they smelled bad and stunk up my car for a while.

I had to during Covid and I hated it. I need the feeling of being in an office to be productive. At home it feels like a chore.

It might help if I had a dedicated home office with separate PC and high quality desk and chair, etc. but I don't have that.

do you have an OEM Windows disc? it used to be possible to do a repair install back in the XP days which would usually correct Windows failing to boot problems.

in Windows 10 not sure if there is something similar. I know the DSIM suggestion is one way. I know there are lots of confusing recovery options in Windows 10 when it fails to boot. Can you get to that menu?

(what I would want to do is boot from something other than your current Windows installation. if you still lock-up or BSOD from a completely different boot source, then it's hardware. if you can boot from a different source with no problems, then the windows installation has a corrupted device driver or something).

Apparently they've gotten rid of both the regular grilled chicken sandwich as well as the grilled asiago. You can still get "classic" (breaded) versions of them but IMO their grilled chicken sandwiches were the best chicken sandwiches anywhere. Can still get grilled chicken wraps, but not sure I'll keep going there.

Sekiro is a lot like this. you can kill enemies by getting them to 0 HP, but most of the time you don't and instead you stagger them and get a critical hit. bosses have to be done that way, and some bosses you have to do it multiple times for.

I don't have the energy to attempt even the easier one. The title of the thread is one reason I like the game: as long as your base is secure you can just sit back and relax and go at your own pace. (another game like that is minecraft.) trying to race through it is not for me.

did you use custom settings to make it easier, or was it on normal settings?

advil and reactine together usually work for me but not always. sometimes it becomes acute sinusitis and I basically have a minor cold for about 24 hours. in those cases advil sometimes helps and sometimes doesn't.

I would get electric which is basically all I've used. main downside is managing the extension cord as you go, but it looks like the one you linked actually uses batteries which is awesome.

on PC not only can you get mods, you can _make_ them. there's all kinds of games where I've fixed or added something that annoys me or felt missing. that doesn't make those games bad... it just makes them improvable; which is objectively better than not being improvable.
