Yeah Picard S3 had surprisingly good performances from the whole OG cast. I wish they had given Pulaski a role, she would have at least been a more interesting callback than Holodeck Moriarty. Pulaski as the Borg Queen face-reveal, that's how I'd write it

Gore but wouldn't mind 2012 Romney. I think he'd have kept Rs on a path of relative sanity without being functionally much different from Obama, and Trump probably wouldn't become a thing afterward - whereas if you flip the 2016 election Trump would still have the momentum of winning the Republican primary and becoming their champion

For me, the appeal is the combat flow, high stakes, and immersion, all of which are kind of emphasized by the lack of a hard pause. I think that's what makes the organic downtime of resting at a bonfire feel so rewarding. And in emergency cases, it still only takes like 2 seconds to hit save/quit from almost anywhere so I really don't see what the problem is...I put hundreds of hours into the Souls games and never had an issue with this
