Wind Waker really exposes how hollow Zelda exploration is at its core. You go to an island, solve a puzzle that requires no brainpower, maybe kill a miniboss that has no chance of doing more than two hearts of damage to you, and you get...what? Rupees? A piece of heart that you don't need? The challenge is nonexistent and the rewards are worthless. Wind Waker actually knows this, which is why it made the Triforce Hunt a huge Rupee sink so they could justify showering you with cash the entire game. Unfortunately they made the worst part of the game in the process.

I actually liked the exploration part. As I said before, sailing was what I most enjoyed (HD release here). So much so, that when it was time to turn in the infamous triforce quest, I was already almost done lol. But you're 100% right with the rewards thing, most of the chests you find are actually rupees, and most of the money of the game is actually spent on one huge expensive thing, and even then, you'd still be ending up with lots and lots of rupees. What was perfect on previous Zelda games was that exploration and rewards came hand in hand, and every nook and cranny seemed to have a purpose.

My hot take is that sailing and exploring the islands are the best parts about WW.

WW would be my vote for worst 3D Zelda but full speed sailing is cool.

It can be just a bad day. It doesn't have to be an hygiene thing, it can also be a temporary digestive problem. With that said, I wouldn't be having that much fun on that first date, and if it persists it's definitely a dealbreaker.
