Match 2 is a spawn directly from hell; how dare you. I've always liked Amazon and it's extremely good redo of the NES track, so it gets my vote, but whoever wins here should definitely retire; Layton music is just nothing to complain about. Match 1 and 3 are also good stuff, close picks as well.

Oh boy, here it is! Finally, Round 2 for Moonlight Concert. I've been so impatient for this match. It's a bit of a shame it's against Synapse, Brandon's style shines a lot on this one and I really wish it could be advancing somewhere else in the bracket; unfortunately, it had to cross paths with this marvel of a song. Can you believe it got it's own album? That's how good it gets. Best of luck to the dynamic duo today, with opponents like this you'll need it.

Regarding the other matches, Samsara is still super great, Purple Town is still very solid, Techno Syndrome is still a bit repetitive to me but still fine, and Hodo is still good, but not as interesting. Easy votes all around. I think the retiree from A1 will definitely be a good one.

The other day I was discussing what does Gurumin mean. Apparently, "guru" means "spinning" the same way "kuru" does, as an onomatopeia; it can also mean "leader" or even "cohort". On the other hand, "min" means "people", "nation" or "subjects". This leaves us with either "the people's leader" or "spinning people". Considering the way Guru is used in "Guru Guru Tonight", it might be the latter; but this could also be a pun on dancing. Now, how does spinning relate to the game at all? Well, I've noticed drills move in circles when used, and Parin has a good number of special attacks with spin animations. Perhaps she is the turn-around the Phantom World needs to achieve peace, and the title reflects that. I bet they just found it catchy, though; just like Pikmin does.

Anyways, this charade has no relation to the songs, I just feel great talking about the games I like to support the most. By the way, Match 2 is absurdly stacked, and it's scary.

All that said, Catastrophe is my favorite Touhou song in competence, here's hoping it can have a great run, I love the touch Active NEETs can put into their songs. Rainbow is a strong opponent though, I could see myself voting it on second round.

Narcolepsist is a freaky ass song, I think I like Tenchu just slightly more. Match 3 has both great tracks too. The streak of good days continues. I think C1 might end being my favorite corner.

Pretty great day! Freezing Temple should win the whole thing imo, it's such a beautiful song, in a beautiful level, in a beautiful world from a beautiful game. Never been over how much it amazes me.
In the other matches, all songs are great. I'm a sucker for Coolpunk music though, and ZX just wins me over. C1 is up to a good start.

Pretty cool day. I think I liked about everything. Trajectory feels like a improvement over Jupiter to me, but Best to Come still rules. Tama reminds me of Pikmin music, and Frozen Grounds is solid Koshiro, I think I would like any of them advancing.

Bracket B is overall better than A, which is cool beans! Onto Bracket C, now.

Holy guacamole, Match 1 is hard. Keeper has this really strambotic design that somehow, someway captures me through the whole thing; Fire Wire has some great strings and piano and it's killer as well. Tough decision, but this gotta be one of my favorite matches on the competition so far. Hope whoever wins does great.

The other matches were easier. Okay-a-day, all considered.

I have the impression Lake made me lose some braincells. It's such a pity, because the background beat is pretty great but the lawnmowner-like sound is distracting, unnatural and doesn't manage to sync to the other instruments most of the time. I feel you could have done something spectacular if this chainsaw was actually meant to play in contrast to the others, but it just feels like a bad conversion. It isn't even comical to be given a meme vote or scary to be given a design vote, it just feels like something that went horribly wrong and doesn't add to the experience at all if not substracting it. Listening to the non-corrupted version, I would probably vote it... but that one midi flute before the loop point is close as annoying. Battle of the Sea is good enough to beat it.
