The point is Rogue is able to train and control her power, and does so in the comics becoming one of the most powerful mutants. She would have never got to that point if she just threw it away due to peer pressure.

It's Mystique though, her adoptive mother, that sways her away from pushing the "cure" button. She's better suited to be in the tough love position than Storm.

Eh I get where he's coming from, a lot of people treat travelling as a checklist for places to exist in for a few days, as if that alone makes them an interesting person. If you're not legitimately interested in experiencing other parts of the world (or not strongly enough to devote time and money to it) you shouldn't feel pressured to do so.

I would have fun seeing places like Italy, France, Japan, places I have a basic interest in visiting myself, but there's way more places I have zero interest in physically going to just for the sake of travelling there affordably. Like IDGAF about the grand canyon or the great wall or whatever.

It's true, but you can't really compare one person's nutrition needs directly to another's. Some people just burn off faster/slower than others. Eat less for what your body would respond to. Don't just copy exactly what some other skinny or ripped person is doing because some portion of their "success" is helped by their own genetics and how they personally reacted to them.
