good. a two-day blackout is just going to be seen as a cost of operating expense to the higher ups. if reddit proceeds with the planned changes, they'll make back the money they lost on the blackout with the increased api charges quickly. a real result requires an indefinite blackout.

spiritfarer, one of my favourite games i will defend until the day i stop breathing, doesn't have a difficulty option, doesn't have enemies, and you can't fail or lose at any point. does that mean this isn't a "game" and should just be a series of cutscenes?

it's basically "take as much as you want, but take too much and you're in trouble" and they won't tell you how much is too much

there used to be a delivery company in the uk called hermes. they were so godawful at delivering packages they rebranded to evri, hoping everyone didn't notice. companies loved using them because they were super cheap. they just failed to deliver a lot of the time, might as well have been playing ding dong ditch with you on delivery, and just be useless in every other aspect.

there were documentaries where they revealed a huge number of items were just not delivered and given to "lost package auctions". it was near impossible to even find their head office.

if it's not at risk of being cancelled it's not funny

yeah, same. i'm not convinced games of this scope can pull it off. would be happy to be wrong, but i've seen it fail too may times before.

i liked watch dogs 2, but watch dogs legion might have been the most bland aaa game i've ever played in terms of presentation and gameplay. making any character replayable just resulted in a lot of lifeless boring nobody characters, a lot of which were clones of others.

i only honk under two circumstances

a) someone is about to hit me because they're not paying attention
b) i give someone a light honk when they missed that the light has gone green because they weren't paying attention. i wait about ~5 seconds before i do this

former happened last sunday when a driver decided to switch lanes suddenly right as i was approaching their bumper from the lane over. they didn't signal or anything first, just moved without due care and almost ran me off the road

this topic gets made repeatedly the first few years of every sony/xbox gen
