Downloaded game demos. A big game was like 64 MBs but took like 4 hours to download on dial up.
I'd play the first level of games for hours, it was kind of like a poor man's Xbox Live service.
It was also easy to edit the .ini files to give yourself unlimited play time if the demo had a time limit on it.

I think we're worried about Iran getting involved, so maybe this will keep them out of it.
Really don't want to spend more time in a shitty desert.

I played the second one. It's fun for a while, but I got upset with how fast the AI can regenerate their leaders, so wars go on forever.
