I wouldn't call it dumb per se. Plenty of people get into this mode where they're rushing too much and start forgetting things. Some people are also just forgetful in general, especially with things like ADHD. It's a good reminder that has the potential to save kids, so I'm all for it. And it probably doesn't cost manufacturers much, so it's pretty much become standard in new cars.Rushing + the sleep deprivation that goes along with having a baby will do it.
