jk the videos I've watched have me wanting to play it. The gameplay looks fun.I love the game, but it's also the only gacha game I've played. If you have ANY inkling of a gambling issue, be smart and don't start. I put $15 into the game twice a year and have a really good account, but it's taken a fuckton of discipline not to throw currency at every banner featuring someone I like. Honestly, the rates on the gacha are so bad, and buying roll currency is so expensive, that it's never been tempting for me to buy. The silver lining is that a lot of the f2p units are still REALLY good, and I regularly use them even though I have a ton of the limited meta units. Like I said before, though: The early game is largely middling to bad. The tutorial level is strong, the first chapter is imo pretty decent in story (especially with you being a Fate/Zero fan) but a slog in gameplay, and then it takes until chapter 5 to be decent again. It doesn't truly shine until chapter 6. We generally know what's coming in terms of upcoming events/units because we're 2 years behind JP and seemingly always will be, but they'll also throw curveballs with NA-only campaigns too. However, we never miss anything JP got, we just occasionally get additional things. --- E come vivo? Vivo! |

That said, even beyond the horrible gacha, FGO has the FF14 problem of the Good Shit (TM) being buried under an underwhelming - and sometimes outright terrible - early game. They seriously need to remake the first chapters with their current level of polish. --- E come vivo? Vivo! |

I was deliberately saving my 5-star ticket until after my Oberon rolls in case I got spooked, but I never would have done so if someone hadn't alerted me to the idea beforehand. As an upside, A) Altera gets good next year and B) NP2 on an AoE DPS is often necessary for them to excel. I know it was just for collection, but now you have a good alternative Seiba farmer!
