I was deep in thought in the shower, thinking about McDonald's and their menu. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge but have you noticed that a lot of items have the letters 'Mc' in front of their name? McNuggets, McFlurry, McBig Mac, McFrench Fries, it's a bit ridiculous.

I had an epiphany of sorts: the reason they're all named like this is to get the average, working class, good people to make a McFool of themselves in public. I jumped out of the shower, got dressed in my 'look out I'm about to go McRenegade on your ass' outfit, and walked down to the local Donald's. My McCar is still in the shop after that unpleasantness a while back but I won't get into that, it makes me want to upchuck every time I think about it.

I had a plan: order some items without calling them by their official names, and throw in 2 items with their official names just to f*** with them. I walked up to the counter and placed an order -

12 Nuggets
1 Quarter Pounder
1 Flurry
1 Chicken Sandwich
1 Double
1 Large Diet Coke (watching my calorie intake)

The cashier does her thing with the register and asks me to confirm if I meant Mcnuggets, McFlurry, McChicken, and McDouble. I don't like being corrected, so I verbally lashed out at her for a second, then calmed myself. I asked why I should conform and order by their McSystem and asked why she couldn't put 2 and 3 together and give me my god damn order. She went and got me my order, and I told her to cross out all instances of the prefix (??????????????) 'Mc' that was on the packaging.

The rest of this is rather uneventful unfortunately, I just walked out and threw everything in the bin cause I don't eat that rubbish.

I cannot put into words how much I despise McDonald's. Everytime I see those golden arches, I vomit, just a little, inside my own mouth. It sickens me to the very core of my being. If I'm walking past a McDonald's, I will sometimes have to stop walking and just stop, because I need every ounce of my being focused on hating it.

Here's a list of my grievances with McDonald's

The fries are too thin and salty.
The hamburgers taste like processed garbage and every bite makes you feel sick
The drinks have too much ice in them.
I have to wait in line behind smelly people who don't shower.
The desserts give me the runs for at least 2 days. Not even joking.
The coffee is bitter and the baristas are terrible all the time.
Sometimes the straws have a little slit in them at the opening which is uncomfortable
The parking lot is always full of unsavoury types of people
The staff are always like 15 or 16 and don't give a f*** about their craft
The toilets are always a mess
Whenever I make a complaint about something, the manager always gives me the half eye roll and then patronises me before doing absolutely nothing.

They hand you coins on top of the receipt in the drive-thru...this isn't a circus act, I just want to not drop my coins all over the f***ing ground. Why are they testing my co-ordination in a drive-thru?
Whenever I go there with Joey and Cookie, they always try to get me involved in eating chicken nuggets. I keep telling them that I don't want any chicken nuggets but they basically force-feed me these processed things and then I end up feeling terrible all day and having terrible dire-rear. Not McDonald's fault really, but still annoying.

I've been a nurse over 10 years and it's a pretty cush gig. Done a nice mix of hospital floor nursing, cardiac critical care, and now i work in a procedural area. I have to take call now but I work a way easier job and make a nice 6 figures so I'm quite happy with my job at the moment. I'm also on the west coast though so my wages are pretty high, i hear it's an absolute dogshit job in the south/midwest and you make peanuts so if you live in those places it's probably a bad idea.

RNs and travel RNs were making more than some hospitalists in my hospital, and they were extremely incentivized with extra shift pay: I.E if you worked 8 hours extra you got an extra $600 in addition to time and a half.
