That's cool and all, but we have a Christian in this very topic saying that his congregation does very publicly disavow that behavior, tells right wingers it's not welcome, and helps out in his community and there's still people in here going "yeah that's whatever but what are you doing to stop Roe v Wade from being overturned?"

And I generally hate the church. I grew up southern baptist and despise it, I'm just not plugging my ears and covering my eyes and thinking that the religious right is anywhere near representative of the region as a whole. Is it the loudest wing? Sure, but assholes of all stripes tend to be the loudest.

Id be curious to learn specifically what him and his church are doing to fight transphobia, the murdering of transgender people, the repeal of roe versus wade, the destruction of female body rights, etc. etc.

Yeah there's a religious right and there's a religious left too. Christianity has a lot to answer for, yeah, but you're completely ignoring huge swaths of the religion and equating them all to fundamentalists and evangelicals when the vast majority of Christians are "casual" Christians at best.

There was probably an issue from the comms people. It's really important for businesses to be the first to announce their projects, so since this was a fox production there was probably an agreement in place for the trailer to be uploaded to the Fox account first so they could the initial chunk of views.

The thing that bothers me is the cluelessness of those who work in the office. I had a moron in HR tell me I had to wear coveralls in the shop at all times no matter what I was doing and all during the worst heat wave in human history where our shop gets to 120+ degreese F regularly. He tried to justify it by saying he had a dress code he had to follow too. Must be really fucking awful for him to work in slacks and a short sleeve button up in his ice cold air conditioned office. Just shut the fuck up and let me do my job.

But you don't have to be an old man to find Imagine Dragons' corporate music shitty. It's hardly cutting edge stuff for the kids, just bland by-the-numbers alt rock, circa 2006.

Seriously. My most played playlists on spotify are the Discover playlists, I love modern music of pretty much all genres. Music these days is as good as it ever was and much, much more accessible than it ever has been.

Imagine Dragons is just bad. Actually, they're worse than bad, they're bland.

Come on, Imagine Dragons burst onto the scene over a decade ago, hating on them isn't being some old man that hates new things, it's being someone that's heard their music in commercials for 10 years and recognizes that it's just bad.

I listen to mostly newer pop music these days, I'm as far away from "old man shakes fist at cloud" as you get and even I recognize that Imagine Dragons just makes bad rock music for commercial products.

I haven't played it in forever, but I remember 2 being a really goofy game too. Obviously not to the point of 3 and 4, but I always thought of it as "comedy GTA" back then.

Yeah everyone knows he lost a load of matches overseas back then but Kayfabe was a lot realer back then so try and look at it with that in mind.

As a kid I figured he wrestled a lot elsewhere and there was stuff they weren't telling me, but I was still surprised when I learned that Andre getting slammed was a pretty regular spot for him his entire career.

Mostly though to answer the question, games like Elite are more like space sims that have an objective treadmill analogous to quests. Starfield is a full on RPG and it will be very different and play very differently.

It's like saying why play Symphony of the Night when Dracula X already exists? Outside of some superficial similarities, the games are completely different.

And even if Starfield was intended to be a space sim like Elite Dangerous, why is that a problem? You get multiple games in a barren genre, what's the issue?

I don't have anxiety over talking to girls, I have anxiety about talking to anyone, which is odd since my job is literally to talk to people and report what they say. I'm generally fine once a conversation starts, but I'll often sit there staring at my phone thinking about a call I need to make. But as soon as whoever I'm calling picks up, it's like the anxiety just washes away.

10 years later when I finally went to college I was a straight As kid though. I was paying with my GI Bill and was terrified of what could happen if I failed a class.

Yep. I'd say 70% of the things I buy are generic. Some things are worth the slight hit in quality. Some things aren't. And some times the store Brand costs more, so you have to look out for that as well. Especially when a national sale is going on for the brand.

I'd say I buy about the same percentage, but I also live in Texas and shop at HEB, where pretty much anyone you talk to will agree the store brand stuff is often waaaaaaaay better than the name brand stuff.

And if you do have something against generic products, have you ever shopped at Trader Joe's? Pretty much everything there is amazing, and for the most part it's all generic stuff with a Trader Joe's label slapped on it.

Because sometimes the name brand is a noticeably better product, and I say that as someone that buys a lot of store brand stuff, mostly because HEB products are just really well produced in general.

The key is knowing what you products you should and shouldn't buy name brand, which really depends on the generic goods at wherever you shop.

Yeah, you are. This girl could later be proven to be defending herself from an aggressor, but if she's named now she's going to forever be a murderer. Apply for a job later on? Her name pops up in a simple Google as a murderer even if she's been proven innocent. Neighbors are going to know her as a killer and it will affect her entire life.

Naming minor suspects is more of a punishment than actual prison, because it essentially makes it near impossible to rehabilitate since they never get a chance to live a normal life in the first place.
