It's like people didn't realize how nice it was to be exact for the platforming. IIRC, a single hop back from a ledge gave you the exact distance for a running jump. Vague memories of doing 3 single steps to line yourself up for something too.

I never understood the story progress in BB1. Id just run away to get the endings.

I only ever got the second ending with a single character. Beat the game, no problem. Beat the game without getting hit was another story.

I had a slight interest in hockey for a few years. Other sports were just boring to me. Baseball/football was so much standing around. Basketball was too much scoring. I did hate football even more when the superbowl was on my 21st birthday. No way in hell was I going to go to a bar that day.

You can imagine spaceships, laser gun fights, losing yourself "in relationships" with an alien species that only has a cloaca (which would terrify your little snowflake mind if you knew what it was), and you can't imagine someone being a different gender than what's on their birth cert?

I would have loved to see a meltdown over that in Cyberpunk. I seem to remember you chose body type and gender (which affected some romance options. Like needing female gender and body for one person, while another was female gender, male/female body didn't matter). The whole world was people getting their bodies changed to whatever they wanted, so players whining about that specifically would have been all kinds of special.

I disagree. Quit my job at the end of January. Sent out a ton of applications to crappy minimum wage jobs. Didn't get an interview until the end of June. Got the job, but it is at a grocery store. I know I'm not the only one who's been through this. Retail type jobs say they are always hiring, but nobody ever hears back from them.

Do you have a water pick or anything similar? Could have some food in there irritating the nerve. When I had a tooth pulled, the dentist gave me a syringe type thing to flush out the hole which was much gentler since I controlled the force of the stream.

I found Oragel to help getting to sleep. Didn't numb it for a long time, but long enough to get asleep. I also found that laying flat made it much harder to rest as opposed to reclining at an angle. Not the most comfortable, but it was actual sleep.

I spend more time making a custom character in wrestling games than playing matches.

Yup. Played Yakuza Kiwami a few weeks ago, and I kept his guide open in another tab for quick reference to activate side stories.

Not sure if true, but I've heard that only the plain coke option gives you coke. Any other flavor added they use the coke zero mix instead.

I know it's marketing, but I really hate when streamers are given a copy early to play and basically finish the game and upload the entire thing before regular people get a chance to play it.

Yeah, I've tried it twice in my life. First time I felt nothing. Second time, I just remember throwing up a bunch (was told drinking at the same time was a terrible idea). Had no desire to try it again.

I'd say play it now to get the original experience. Then when the update happens, you can feel joy in the improvements, then lament the loss of OP builds.

The Mass Effect 3 ending disappointment is so overblown. It was always about the journey and the friends you make or don't make along the way. It was very RPG and the series' storyline played second fiddle to that and the characters, which were by far the best part of the Mass Effect games.

You just don't get it. Bioware was supposed to make every minor decision a player made be reflected in the ending. Who cares if that would be over a million variations, it was just them being lazy.

Now excuse me while I wait with bated breath for ME4, where they better make Destroy the canon ending because it is what I picked and fuck everybody else who prefer control or synthesis.

Guess I somehow got lucky. Got a letter from the government showing my two outstanding have been paid off/forgiven. Which is great, because looking at the website in more detail shows why it would never have gotten paid off. Would send them a few hundred every month, but between the two loans, only a combined $70 or so would actually be applied towards the principle.

Nah. His LP's are what introduced me to the Drakengard games because I loved his Xenogears one so much. I think he's basically stopped doing them after his daughter died. Seems like he came back to finish his Shadow Hearts Covenant LP, but obviously his heart isn't in it anymore and he's having a rough time. Last time I was rereading one of his things, it appears his youtube channel is gone as well, so all the videos are lost.

Simple and Clean

When my niece got married last year, she asked for song recommendations. I gave her this one, but she didn't want to play it.

Because I get way too distracted. It is currently sitting on my shelf, unopened, along with Mortal Shell, MegaMan 11, BotW, Mario Vs Rabbids and a handful of PS+ freebies, PS3 and PS2 games. I tend to rotate around genres so I don't get burned out, but Elden Ring didn't help I played almost nothing but that for like 8 months.

Since release, I've also finished the ME trilogy, Outer Worlds, Hellpoint (currently playing it for the DLC), Kingdom Hearts 3, MediEvil, Control, Bioshock Infinite, TLOU 2, Elden Ring, Ratchet Deadlocked, Dragon Age Origins, GoW Ragnarok, Remnant From the Ashes, Hellblade, Jedi Fallen Order, Drakengard 3, FF7R, New Vegas, Cyberpunk, Yakuza Kiwami.

As you can see, I am all over the map with the games I play and how much time passes between when they come out and when I get around to them. A major reason I didn't try too hard to get a PS5.

Last December is the only time I've been to a mall in like 10 years. It was depressing how dead it was, especially since it was during the Christmas season. Granted, it was a Tuesday afternoon or something, but still.

I remember calling once to see if I could get any kind of monthly deduction (private) around 20 years or so. They told me I didn't borrow enough to qualify for a 20 year repayment plan, only the 10 year plan I was on. Best they could do was change it from $600 due on the first of the month to $300 due on the first, and another $300 on the fifteenth. Gee, thanks, that will really help when I was only bringing home $500 total in a good month.

Exactly. I like to know a game is coming out, forget about it for 2-3 years, then take a look at it once it finally releases to decide if it is worth playing or not. That way I never rage like all the neck-beards that foam at the mouth for any tiny differences between the reveal trailer and the actual game. This did allow me to enjoy Mass Effect Andromeda, FO76 and Cyberpunk when I bought them cheap after seeing the technical issues at release. Instead of my vision going from hype to buggy game, I saw buggy game going to mostly patched.

I was a dumb, uncoordinated kid, who couldn't master the nuances of the wall jump in Super Metroid. That long vertical chute with the three jumping jack rabbits was my final boss.

I played the hell out of Batman on the NES. You get anywhere near a wall, and you can easily bounce off of it at will. So going from that to Super Metroid was an extremely frustrating experience.

Random battles were a real chore, it feels like 5 minute battles for every 1 minute explorations.

I honestly don't know which game you mean. Fights in 1 felt slow because the game overall felt slow to me. The second was because of chaining attacks just took forever since they needed the dramatic zoom in camera whenever you did an art.

And she is an absolute beast. Speed is king in this game and she can put out some nasty attack strings. Most rpg's, the single female on the team is designated healer. Not the case here.

Think it was Stuntman that did that to me and my brother, and neither of us were kids at the time. I mean, what kind of tutorial/first mission gives you like a 15 second time limit. Not even enough time to figure out the controls.

He was only 16 when 9/11 happened. Since he was under 25, he is not allowed to have any opinion on the matter by his own logic.

Just want to say, thanks for your guide. Currently have it open in another tab and it's been handy for finding/activating substories and getting those last few locker keys that I was overlooking, even with the radar thing equipped. Hopefully I'll finish the last few chapters this week.
