Bernie calls for conditions to future money going to Israel:

* End to indiscriminate bombing and a pause in action until civilians can get the humanitarian aid
* Faithful negotiations for a 2 state solution
* No long term blockade for Gaza
* Clear West Bank occupation and violence against Palestinians
* Right for Palestinians displaced by the war to return to Gaza

He's not wrong lest it keeps the US in the crossfire if not direct future targeting. That's a casualty of unconditional military support - you're roped in, perception is reality.

Prior the big bang, there might've merely been the death of an earlier universe.
In which case, that would only logically imply an infinite history of universes.
Thereby, we as humanity know really nothing much about anything at all.

Kmart. Didn't get a Walmart near me until mid 00's.

I still remember how Kmart smelled - that stale yet oddly pleasant sterilized odor. Target smells like stuffy yarn. Walmart smells like Kmart + old newpapers.

Empire Strikes Back is the hardest of the trilogy.
Overall, yeah, esp. by front loading its difficulty to the first few stages.
Jedi's Falcon escape from the Death Star 2.0 though is like the Joker laughing in my face. I don't think I've ever done it more than a single time.

As for NES hard, I actually appreciate it enough. Can you imagine Castlevania or Ninja Gaiden as walks in the park? Not as grand. Besides, back in the day, when many of us barely got 1-3 new games to own a year (we played a lot via rental), the difficulty was good value for the price & replay incentive.

I heard that only a few months ago, & it makes total sense - our memories live infinitely, evolving. Reality is in the now only a singular time.

It was probably a better experience than it was a show.

All the hype, the discussion, the theories, and the WTF moments week-on-week was a genuinely unparalleled community experience at the time it was airing live.

Season 5's finale end shot broke the internet beautifully that night. Black font on white screen over the blast was f'n boss.

My journey with the show:
S1 rented Blockbuster sick one week 2005, binged it craving more.
S2 waited until DVD, bought for another full binge.
S3 avoided until DVD, only to have date delayed so I purchased a pirated set.
S4 I began watching 'live' & it's probably my 2nd fav season, & likely its finest acted.
S5 time travel was fascinating, & esp. appreciated their closed loopholes about it.
S6 high highs, low lows (Kate's eps, & the placement of Across the Sea). Across the Sea I always argued should've/could've been mini flashbacks drawn out over the season, or at least put it as season premiere or 2nd/3rd out of the way, rather than put it right up against the finale main event - with zero actors/characters we'd ever seen before.

I did a full re-watch after S6, & it landed nicely. I've done character arc re-watches for much shorter stints - Jack & Christian episodes arc is excellent tv.

I do hope future gens give LOST a try.

What the hell would I do with $1 billion?? Buy an island?? Gee fun, until after 11 days of turning into jell-o, 9 weeks of COVID lockdown was solitude enough.
I'd probably just donate 90% of it to every last major hospital across Canada. Fully fund them for 20yrs.

As for the human race, we're already headed there... we spend millions on health care & food, whilst spending billions more on stuff that is eroding our existence.

I think it mostly depends on how engaged a country is with the global community, at least concerning media and goods. We get a lot more from France than we do from Ukraine. If Japan came under attack, you best fucking believe the weebs would fund their defense.

I think the China-Taiwan question is hovering over all continents. That will immediately shock & awe the global economy into a disaster. I think China just wants to take over the South China Sea without invasion, & well, that's happening right now already... they've physically blockaded Philippine fishing boats from entering certain water zones.

Well, apparently we're on the clock.

Scientists suggest that Earth's inevitable Supercontinent trajectory our land masses are ever on will create near full inhospitable conditions for humanity, around 250 million years from now.
Colliding lands, earthquakes, volcanoes, & drought from disrupted water locales/weather patterns.

In a way it's fascinating I suppose... I saw a doc once about Australia's northern sea boundary, the security involved, only for them to accept that Australia will full stop one day far away collide with Indonesia anyways. The continent is noticeably shifting northward iota at a time each year.

I think he's funny because he sticks to everyday randomness most all of us can relate to.

Still, some of his jokes can seem less of a payoff once you realize how specific he can sneak his scenarios. 'Ever wonder why X is so Y? How about we just do Z, it's right there?!' ...when Z could have 50 logical (historical) reaons... but we're already swimming in the bit, we're not thinking about it.
