It's the sequel to Captain Marvel, co-starring Ms. Marvel and the woman that was Carol's friend in the first movie I believe? Can't remember her name. The one that developed her powers in WandaVision. It's a theatrical release but looks like it depends on you having kept up with Disney+ shit

DMC 5 and FF 16 both have the same combat director I believe. So if you liked FF you'll probably rock with it

As someone who didn't play OG FF 7, it's fine. It's part 1 of a trilogy so I don't expect them to explain everything immediately. Honestly it's probably even better that I don't have anything to compare it to

For what they had to deal with, I thought it was great. People seem to forget that covid was still mega huge at the time and they limited what he could do. So the fact they were still able to make a solid show out of it, give us some memes like the mirror room, the cool ass chorus platform with all the singers being leveled on one another, and a quasi dance routine, where everyone kinda looked like the Thriller zombies was good enough for me.

I'm sure if given the freedom nearly every other artist is afforded, and his creativity, they could have knocked it out of the park.

I still remember how cool it was that JT basically explored all the space of the Minnesota stadium during his halftime show.

I never got the vibe that he was limited by covid at all, seemed like a regular grandiose performance. He reportedly paid millions of his own money for it so I'm sure he more or less got to do exactly what he wanted to do.

Just got the ability to fly around and went to a couple optional puzzle areas and can't figure them out on my own. One involves pushing some blocks around and the other involves raising and lowering water, and it seems like for both I'm missing something. I can't align the blocks correctly for the first one and it seems I need at least one more box for the second. I'll likely have to look up their solutions.

I looked up the solutions immediately for most of those puzzles as I hate sliding block puzzles. Surprisingly I did figure out that one with the water on my own though

So far, while I'm not done with Sea of Stars, I prefer Chained Echoes much more. I didn't mind the Overdrive feature that much. And it wasn't too hard to master it. I don't think it was explained well enough in the game, maybe?

At any rate, while I 100%'d Chained Echoes, I doubt I'll do the same in Sea of Stars. It looks like it might need a NG+ to get everything done, but I'm trying not to spoil myself, so I don't know if that's true. But I started it after Googling and hearing that there was nothing really missable. That's how it should always be, in my opinion.

The only thing you need NG+ for is a trophy involving fighting bosses, and from what I understand you don't even need to complete the entire second run to unlock it.

If you mainline it from there probably about 3 or 4 hours. If you wanna get the true ending you can add a few more depending on how many collectables you already have

I feel like Ronda actually tried, but just isn't good at acting. Megan was just straight up reading the lines. Also doesn't help that the dialogue they wrote for her is atrocious

I was under the impression that reviewers got the codes like a day or so before (to prevent leaks) and had a limited time to play before posting a review.

Nah, so when you see reviews later after the game has been out for a while after the game has released that means they didn't get a code early and had to wait till release to play it like everyone else. If a reviewer was to break an embargo and leak something they would get blacklisted from future coverage and possibly legal action probably depending on whatever their agreement was

Honestly, for a big games like this, I feel like reviewers should at least play for a several days ~ one week before dropping a number (unless the game is so horrid as to be unplayable).

But of course, that's not realistic.

Anyways, expect it to be in the high 80s, but I don't think it'll break 90.
Too much hype that just can't be met and will inevitably leave some reviewers disappointed/let down.

That's what they do. They get early codes like a couple weeks before the review. How else would that work? Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying

She looks fun, though I typically don't like "gimmick characters". I wonder how much damage she does without poison. I had no interest in Rashid so glad she looks interesting
