Part of it was that he wanted to take down the corruption in Gotham and kill Falcone, yes. But Riddler also idolizes Batman and saw that he wasn't a cop, politician or anyone else who could be bought, so he orchestrated the entire crime spree as a way of meeting his idol while also deluding himself into thinking they were "partners".

The problem is that Riddler idolizes him for the wrong reasons because Riddler is an edgelord who just wants the world to burn for what happened to him and honestly, Batman (up until his character development) is really just a more restrained and disciplined version of that (likely due to Alfred).

I actually really like The Riddler in this movie because he basically represents the Batman fans who forget that Batman is supposed to be a superhero, and not just Punisher with less guns.

It sounds like my biggest issues aren't unfounded then.

As I said I don't want to argue those points but I'm sure the Riddler could have gotten Batman's attention just from killing Falcone and sullying the Wanye name even if the latter would've unintentionally gotten said attention.

It made the movie seem like a 2hr+ waste of time, the only thing that didn't have much to do with Falcone and exposing corruption was sinking Gotham (last half hour?) and Batman still fails to stop that.
It's fine that Batman loses but he basically lost everything. IIRC he's still supposed to be a noob but throw something positive at the poor guy. He may as well have stayed at home and done nothing. Worst case scenario he opens the explosive mail instead of Alfred and he comes out unscathed.

I'm sorry but it's just a bad movie. The acting is fine, the music was ok but the story was horrible. I'm glad that you and others liked it but it seems like you had to dig deep to find something positive about it.

It's been a while but what did he want to do?
Kill the mob boss? He had the guy's location since the start of the movie, said mob boss had a massive window in his main office, he could have been shot from down the street easily.
He wanted to show the corruption of politicians, cop and the Waynes (I think?) He could have sent/spammed that info to cops and every media outlet or anyone that would listen from the start as well.

What else did he want to do that he couldn't do on his own that he didn't achieve anyways?

I'm honestly not trying to argue here, I really don't remember but I vaguely remember these being my biggest issues but of course not remembering the minor details.
There are other things I remember not liking but it's more subjective and stuff that I'm more willing to look over (like taking an explosion to the face) for no good reason.

WHAT?! I didn't approve of this!

The only thing I really liked was the warehouse scene. He was pretty good as Bruce Wayne.
As Batman in general? He was ok at best.

I recently got the latest (last?) expansion in Solasta and decided to play a Warlock, I think I'll try that out as well in BG3.

I'm at the age where "all this recent music sucks" so I tend to not listen to it. I've been proven wrong a few times, but more often than not, I'm correct so my gross generality remains true.

I'm not saying you are sexist pinky. I'm saying that culturally we have a bias to turn a blind eye towards shallow male characters because it's seen as badass, and to view female characters as poorly written.

Like, most of the backlash from TLJ was that Luke in fact wasn't a shallow badass ready to wreck all who stand in the way of the resistance.

I'm sure some people out there did want to see him take on the first order on his own and wreck shit but the biggest complaint was the assassination of his character.
Let's look back for a minute shall we?
His aunt and uncle died. Did he give up and want to just die? No.
Obi died protecting him and his friends. Did he give up and want to just die? No.
He lost Han for a while. Did he give up and want to just die? No.
He lost his hand. Did he give up and want to just die? No.
Found out that his dear old dad was alive and a genocidal maniac. Did he give up and want to just die? No.

It's almost like we had seen this little bastard grow up real quick and persevere through massive hardship.

Suddenly he has a bad dream and he goes cuckoo and decides to try to off his nephew instead of seeing the good side in bad people (especially family) like he did with his dad. Suddenly he's all like:
"I fucking give up, screw the Jedi order, Imma go off to some random planet to die."
As if dying meant anything to him since he apparently learned how to Force Ghost himself.

That was the big problem with ST Luke, at least with me. There's more but I've rambled long enough for now.

I still laugh out loud remembering how Rey just pulled a Jedi mind trick out of her ass. And she was under the impression that the Jedi were just a myth (which also doesn't make any sense since they were a thing not too long ago (at least the Sith))

It's also hilarious how the only thing that was holding Carol back was Carol, she could have taken that inhibitor off at any time in the movie but they tried to make it like it was some impactful moment when she wasn't even struggling.

She-Hulk was just a bitch all around. Not just to Bruce, but to the people around her, she didn't want to help people because she was too worried she would ruin her shoes.
She goes all green to a "friend's" wedding as if she didn't think she'd steal the show from the damn bride.
She was ready to kill some random bozos at a bar and we're meant to believe that she wasn't in control but she later tells us that she's always been in control.
She's also a moron because when she gets laughably assaulted by those guys (wrecking crew? IDK, IDC) and she just lets them go instead of calling the cops and making sure they're arrested.
She doesn't care about public property and barely seems to care about the property of others when she fights DD.
She's just a horrible character/person. I wish she was written as well as she is in the comics, I'm at least told that she's funny there.

It's only ok if you sniff each other's butts prior.

I had something like this except it sort of worked initially. Put the wing glider on a cart with wheels and used a fan to get it started, it flew for a bit but then nose dived into a cliff, so I bailed but it then managed to lift off again and went sailing off merrily into the distance, never to be seen again.

That was one of the many results from my attempts to replicate my build, except I also had two rockets on it. That's what made it more hilarious the first time, the damn thing BLASTED to the horizon.

For me it was the opposite. I put together some nice things that in my head would work perfectly, I got on top, started the damn thing, and it flew off into the sky without me.
It reminded me of the classic joke where you call a cab, tell them to "follow that car" and they drive off without you.
I burst out laughing from that.
